of London. The
activity was part
of Canada's
Fitweek
celebrations in
Exeter.
Museum salutes natural history
GRAND BEND - The bird,
mammal, reptile and plant species
of Western Ontario will be the fo-
cus of special exhibits and guest
presentations at the Lambton Heri-
tage Museum on Sunday June 20.
The key feature of the free event
will be an entertaining look at On-
tario's wilderness species by au-
thors Doug Bennet and Tan Tines.
Their new guidebook to Ontario
natural phenomena and the wild
residents of its great outdoors, in-
cludes chapters on creepy-
crawlies, the night sky, mammals,
and even lake monsters! Copies of
their just -released book, tilted Up -
north, are being released at the

The Lioness Club presented cheques to four local organizations last Monday evening. From
left are president Mary. Jane MacDougall, Carol Darling of Child Find who accepted a $100 do-
nation, Danny Smith of the Exeter Fire Department which got $500 for the food bank, Audrey
Skinner who received $100 for the Children's Hospital, Beth Patterson of WOTCH who re-
ceived $500 for their new extension, and incoming Lioness president Ann Thompson.

and paperbacks, the sale has some-

Anyone interested in donating
books can bring their collection to
the Blyth Festival Administration
offices at the comer of Queen and
Dinsley streets in Blyth.
Books go for as low as 10 for a
dollar, and there will be a lunch
counter serving home baked goods
and refreshments featuring Blyth
Festival Development Co-ordinator
Lynda Lentz's famous rhubarb pies.
All proceeds to the Blyth Festi-
val. Admission is free.
