EXPLANATORY NOTE
BY-LAW 17-93
VILLAGE OF LUCAN
By-law 17-93 applies to those lands in the Village of Lucan zoned
as "Central Commercial (C1)" and "Highway Commercial (C2)".
By-law 17-93 is a general amendment to the Village of Lucan Zon-
ing By-law 31-79, in order to permit land, buildings or structures
in the "Central Commercial (C1) Zone" and the "Highway Com-
mercial (C2) zone" to be used for the purpose of operating a Laun-
dromat or an automobile washing establishment.
The Official Plan previously restricted uses such as Laundromats
and car washes because of their impact on the capacity of the
sewage treatment and water supply facilities. However, due to
the recent expansion in the capacity of these services, it has
been deemed appropriate to permit a Laundromat in the "Central
Commercial (C1) Zone" and Laundromats and car washes in the
"Highway Commercial (C2) Zone".

Hats off to Toronto Maple Leafs
Dear Editor:
Toronto Maple Leafs are still
number one in my books. They are
a team with hear. They played ex-
cellent this year. I think Pat Burns
knew how to draw out 100% from
each player. I'm proud of them. I'm
still getting a Maple Leafs shin.
They won the Stanley Cup in the
60's, the last year being 1967. 111
bet Darryl Siuler is beaming too!
Toronto is out of the playoffs
now, so I'm cheering for Montreal
Canadiens, as they are also from
Canada.
I hope Los Angeles doesn't win.
Wayne Gretzky has had the spot-
light, and won the Stanley Cup
enough limes (at least with a Cana-
dian team). Now he's playing for an
American team, a traitor in my
thoughts. Oh well, it's money!
Don't take me wrong, I used to ad-
mire Gretzky, but enough is
enough.
The episode of his stick connect-
ing with Doug Gilmour's chin was
not "handled" well by the referee -
Kerry Fraser. If Gilmour's stick hit
Gretsky's chin,
he would have
had a penalty!
I'm not saying
Doug Gilmour
doesn't get revenge'
in his own way, but
he doesn't pretend to be Mr. Perfect
Gentleman, or a "suck" like Gretz-
ky portrays. Gilmour doesn't whine,
he gets even. My kind of player.
Gilmour has a determination, even
higher than Gretzky's.
Look at all the good talent, An-
drechuk, Clark, Gill, Anderson,
Potvin, of course, and Gilmour and
numerous others.
Los Angeles has a goon player,
Marty McSorley, who hit Watters
mouth with his stick. This was in-
telligent! McSorley plays like his
brother, who used to play on Dunn-
ville -Sr.
A hockey. He used to have
the S.H.R.C. in an uproar when
they played in Exeter.
