Ladies Auxiliary present three life memberships RXIMER - The .Ladies Auxiliary to the R.E. Pooley Exeter Branch +167 -Royal Canadian Legion held their regular meeting Monday, May 17.Tlaere were 46 members out to the meeting for the installation of 93.94 officers and a surprise presentation to three fellow comrades. -The new slate of officers are as follows: president Dorothy Pfaff, :.past president Shirley Pole, 1st vice president Mary Keenen, second vire president Rita Morrison, secretary Cathy Pfaff, treasurer Annie Lawson, Sgt. at Arms Mary -Thompson and executive Joyce Eveland, Grace Farquhar, June.Lather. Marguerite McLeod and Marilyn Riley. Twenty-four other positions were also filled. There was a surprise presentation of three Life Memberships award- ed on the merits of holding an elected office of president, treasurer, or secretary for at least one teen as well as participating in all aspects of the Auxiliary. Their attendance at meetings and their overall contribu- tion to the aims and objectives of the Ladies Auxiliary play a key fac- ter in the nomination, approval and presentation of the award. The re- cipients of these were Marion Frayne, Annie Lawson and Dorothy Pfaff. The families of each of these women were present to witness the presentation. A lovely lunch including a beautifully decorated cake was served to all guests and members in attendance. Donations of $100.00 have been made to Parkwood Hospital and the Cancer,Foundation. Since the pee wee hockey team did so well this year the Auxiliary thought it would be nice to reward them with a jacket. A letter has been sent to.each player on the team and the coaches stating the Auxil- iary will be purchasing jackets for everyone and the presentation will be held in the fall. The Auxiliary will be supplying lunch once again for the 2923 Hu- ron Middlesex Army Cadet Corps Annual Inspection that is being held on June 10. Anyone wishing to attend please contact president Doro- thy Pfaff. Graduate - Doctor Tiffenie Larkins -Harris graduated from Indiana University on May 8, 1993 with a degree of Doctorate of Optometry. Tiffenie and her husband Walter will be residing in Michigan. She is the daugh- ter of Judy Lamport, Exeter, Ontario and Tyrone Larkins, San Jos& Ca. and grand- daughter of Hannah Lamport and the late Edward Lamport, Exeter, Ontario and Mr. and Mrs. K.
