with Ernie Miatello
During the first part of June, it's a good.idea to fo-
cus on sun awareness.
it's very important to use sunscreen lotions when
spending time in the sun. Remember that the SPF 4
(Sun Protection Factor) should be 15 or more. Also apply that sunscreen
1/2-1 hourbefore exposure so It can have time to penetrate the skin.
SPF refers to the ability of the product to protect against caner -causing
Ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. Interestingly enough, an SPF of 30 is not
twice as protective as a 15. to fact, lotions with an SPF of 15 absorbs
93% of harmful UVB rays while one with an SPF of 30 absorbs 98%.
Choose products that protect against Ultraviolet A (UVA) rays as well.
Examples include Parasol, Ombrelle, and Photoptex. 11 you are allergic
to autnha draws, avoid products containing PABA, since an allergic retic-
tion might occur.
The pest way to avoid sun damage to your skin is to not go out in the
sun. However, that's not too practical. Check with our knowledgeable
staff for.advice _on. the sunscreen that's best for you.

You. And communities across Ontario.
Since 1975, lottery proceeds have been hard at work

the 5 Wan on dollar mark.
•To celebrate this milestone, the Ontario Lottery Corporation
will host a "Free Admission Day" this Civic Holiday (August 2,
1993) at over 45 venues across the province. On that day,
the doors to the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Royal Ontario
Museum, Science North, Upper Canada Village and more
will be open to you at no charge.
Together we have plenty to celebrate.
So enjoy. And let's keep up the good work.
