Chief Scout Awards, the top
honour awarded Canada's
Scouts, were presented to
Geoff Stasik and Brad
Hartman (right) on Thursday
evening at the Exeter Youth
Centre. The two Scouts, who
77h be moving up to Venturers
this 1111, were congratulated by
counsellor Bill Dinney, troop
scouter Laurie Kraftcheck, and
district commissioner Tom
Bailey, as well as by the rest
of the troop. The pair will be
presented with certificates of
their achievement in Mitchell
on June 13. Only nine in the
Huron District attained the
Chief Scout award this year.
Zurich Senior
Diners
ZURICH - A chicken dinner was
served to the Senior Diners last
Wednesday at the Community Cen-
tre. Vases of purple and white lilacs
enhanced the dining room. Reta
Thiel was the 50/50 winner.
Games of bingo followed.
Exeter Villa
EXETER - Eugene Hartman en-
tertained at Exeter Villa on Mon-
day, May 17 with his karaoke mu-
sic.
The Swinging Seniors provided
the music for the monthly birthday
party. Louisa Zinger, Milt Webb,
Ben Woods, Ethel Sollaws, Myra
Heywood, Betty Norman, Stella
Taylor, Bernice Davis and Thelma
Russell celebrated birthdays in
May.
The Lioness brought with them
the Fellowship Singers for their
monthly visit.
Eighteen students from grades
seven and tight of Precious Blood
School visited their adopted grand-
parents on Friday, May 21.
Several residents came to the
Diner's Club luncheon on Tuesday
and enjoyed Chinese food which
was prepared by Nancy Holland.
Rev. Mark Gaskin led the church
services last Wednesday.
The Square Dance Club from
Clinton danced for the residents on
Wednesday evening.

of Stephen intends to designate
the property, including lands and
buildings, at the following munici-
pal address as a property of ar-
chitectural and/or historical val-
ue or interest under Part IV of
The Ontario Heritage Act, 1974,
S.O. Chapter 122.

Reasons for Proposed Designa-
tion
This building was built by Henry
Eilber in 1888. The stain glass
windows were imported from Ger-
many and the bricks came from
the Crediton bnck yards.
Mr. Eilber owned an insurance
business, he was a Notary Public
and Conveyancer wnting deeds,
mortgages, wills, etc. He was
one -of the founders of the Hay
Township Municipal Fire Insu-
rance. Mr. Eilber was also the
Clerk for Stephen Township until
1896 when he was elected to
the Legislature. His son Herbert
was given the position of Clerk
when he was 16 years old and
continued to work out of this
building. Mr. Eilber was an MPP
until 1918, during which time he
was a seat mate of Sir Adam
Beck, father of Ontario Hydro.
This building has 4 very large
stain glass windows and a small-
er round stained glass window
near the ceiling. IN the bedroom
is the original tin ceiling, also In
the one room the original floor
and chimney. All of the tin and
sills are original and the outside
sills and doorstep are cut stone.
This building is now owned by
Doug and Donelda Lewis and
they are operating a bed and
breakfast.
Any person may, within thirty
days of the first publication 01
this notice, send by registered
mail or deliver to the Clerk of the
Township of Stephen notice of
his or her objection to the. pros
posed designation together with
a statement of the reasons for
the objection and alt relevant
facts. If such a Notice of Objec-
tion is received, the Council of
the Corporation of the Township
of Stephen shall refer the matter
to the Conservation Review
Board for a hearing.

CONCERNING A PROPOSED
OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMINT AND
ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
AFFECTING THE TOWNSHIP OF TUCKERSMITH AND
THE VILLAGE OF HENSALL
TAKE NOTICE that the Councils of the Corporation of the County of Huron, the
Corporation of the Township of Tuckersmith and the Corporation of the Village of
Hensall will hold a public meeting on Monday, July 5, 1993 at7:00 p.m. in the Village
of Hensall Municipal Office, Hensall, to consider proposed Official Plan Amendment and
a proposed Zoning By-law Amendments under Sections 17 and 34 of the Planning Act,
RSO 1990.
The purpose of the proposed Official Plan Amendment is to change the land use
designation on Part Lot 6, Concession 1, London Road Survey, formerly in the Township
of Tuckersmith now in the Village of Hensall to "Urban - Residential and Institutional"
and to be added to Schedule 13, Land Use Plan, Village of Hensall Secondary Plan. A
corresponding redesignation of Pt. Lis. 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Conc. 1, London Road Survey
and 1't. LL 6, Conc. 2, London Road Survey, Township of Tuckersmith from "General
Agriculture" to "Restricted Agriculture" is also occurring as part of this application.
Part of Lot 6, Conc. 1, formerly in the Township of Tuckersmith was recently annexed by
the Village of Hensall and is now being redesignated to allow for development of a future
plan of subdivision. A portion of the urban area is also being designated for a future
institutional use.
A corresponding zoning by-law amendment proposes to change the zoning on Pt. Lt. 6,
Conc. 1, London Road Survey, formerly in the Township of Tuckersmith now in the
Village of Hensall to "FD (Future Development Zone)". This Zone will be an interim
zoning until such time as application for plan of subdivision has been approved for the
subject lands. Further, an existing well which services the Village is being rezoned to
Institutional. The second application for zoning by-law amendment -is in the Township of
Tuckersmith and proposes to change the zoning on Pt: Lts. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Conc. 1,
London Road Survey and Pt. Lt. 6, Conc.2, Londwn Road Survey, Township of
Tuckersmith from "AGI (General 4griculture)" to "A (Restricted -Agriculture)". This
application for rezoning is required to recognize the e�tnsion of the 'Urban designation
of the Village of Hensall. The Restricted Agriculture designation and zoning is required
to be established at a distance of 2000 ft. from the Urbandesignated arca of the Village.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal
representation either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed official plan
amendment and zoning by-law amendment.

proposed zoning by-law amendment is available for inspection during regular office
hours at the Township of Tuckersmith Municipal Office (519-482-9523), The Village of
