Dobbs 111 are pleased to an-
nounce the graduation of the
Reverend Patricia Carolyn
McLean Dobbs Luxton from
Wycliffe College, University of
Toronto on May 10, 1993.
During the convocation, Patri-
cia received her Master of Di-
vinity degree and was award-
ed the Frances Wilhelmina
Doolan Memorial Prize. Last
week, Patricia was ordained
to the Diaconate on Ascen-
sion Day, May 20th at St.
Paul's Anglican Cathedral,
and, following the sacred ser-
vice, a reception was held in
her honour at SL Luke's An-
glican Church, London. Patty
and her husband, The Rever-
end Robert A. Luxton will con-
tinue to provide a shared
ministry at the Anglican
churches of Chesley, Paisley
and Tara.
St, Boniface church
First communion in Zurich Got a news tip?

ZURICH - A special mass will
be held at St. Boniface Church on
Sunday at 9 a.m., for Derek Du-
charme, Alicia Pennings, Joey
Rader and Dean Van Raay who
made their First Communion last
Sunday. The church is also holding
a fun night at the Community Cen-
tre on June 11 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets
will be available at church services
on May 30 and June 6.
Coming Events
The youth bowling year end bar-
beque will be held on May 30 at 2
p.m. outside Town and Country
Lanes. Lawn chairs will be needed.
The next auxiliary meeting of the
Blue Water Rest Home will be
combined with the annual picnic
supper on June 1 for the residents.
The Participaction Challenge is
being held on June 2 and Zurich
residents are urged to exercise for
15 minutes. The challenge begins at
7 p.m. at the Community Centre.
For those who can't make the eve-
ning challenge they can do it earlier
in the day and be counted by phon-
ing councillor Dwayne LaPorte at
236-7277.
The Hensall challenge is also at 7
p.m. and will feature adult tricycle
races. Teams from community
groups, council and businesses will
be taking part in Hensall's first
Bean Triathalon which will be fol-
lowed by a 15 -minute community
dance. Residents participating on
their own can register with Barb
Westlake -Power or Julie Ritchie.
Tickets are still available for the
fundraising dinner at the Mennonite
Church Fellowship Hall on June 9
at 6:30 p.m. The money is being
raised for brothers Justin and Darcy
Scott' who will be leaving in June
f:,r Poland and Vanutuk to do mis-
sionary projects.
The St. Boniface Sunday School
picnic will be held on June 27 and
the annual CWL pilgrimage to the
Shrine in St. Marys will be on July
13.
The circus is coming to the Port
Blake Conservation Area on July
28 with shows at 4:30 p.m. and
7:30 p.m. The event is being spon-
sored by the Grand Bend Chamber
of Commerce.
CWL
The St. BetiIfice CWL meeting
on May 18 had 31 member present.
Guest speaker was Jenny Girard
who spoke about flowers, vegeta-
bles and spices. Carmel Sweeney
won the door prize.
The meeting was chaired by Au-
drey Smith and members were re-
minded dues will be collected at
mass on June 5. Quilts for sale are
on display at the church and tickets
for the Bean Festival quilt are avail-
able from Audrey or Laura Over -
halt.
The next meeting will be June 15
and the .speaker will be sister Lau-
retta Ducharme speaking on living
in Peru.

' Henry and Ruth Sikorski, from
Surrey B.C. have been visiting
Keith and Helen Gingerich's family
for the last two weeks; Annie
Cowley and Willie Kilpatrick from
Clyde Bank Scotland visited with
Lloyd and Sadi Klopp; Josef Risi
and son Mike spent two weeks vis-
iting Switzerland.
Dance recital in Exeter
Zurich resident Angie Clark was
ommitted from the list of area stu-
dents who took part in Bring Back
Birdie last week.
Father Peter Hayes will be trans -
feted from St Boniface Church in
June.

Sympathy wishes are extended to
family and friends of Rudolph Cor
rivcau who passed died May 23.
Bob and Donna Finch had a baby
girl on May 7, while Donna and
Tim Copper had a son May 19 and
Karmen and Lisa Bedard also had a
baby on April 8.

zart Gelinas Jr., on May 31 and
Therese Stark on May 22.

Snyder were dinner guests last Sat-
urday, with Forman's cousin Selima
Addison of Floradalc.
011ie and Sherrie Edwards, Helen
Nadiger, and Melvin and Gertic
Stade went to Barrie May 16, for a
church service where Amy Reste-
mayer was confirmed. She is the
daughter of ` Edward and Theresa
Rcstemaycr.
Also attending were Robert Mill-
er, Port Elgin, and Janet Wiens, of
St. Catharines and their families.
More than 25 people enjoyed a
reception at the Restcmayer home
afterwards. The Restemaycrs, Mill-
ers and Wiens, were former Dash-
wood residents, and cousins of the
Edwards and Stades.
Elizabeth Adams accompanied
by her daughter-in-law Dianne Ad-
ams of London, spent a weekend in
lit Calgary, Alberta, visiting Eliza-
beth's Eon Mark Adams.
Ken and Marg Baker visited St.
Thomas last Wednesday with Ken's
brother and sister-in-law, Earl and
Minerva Baker.
Saturday afternoon visitors with
Hugh and Annie Morcnz were
Hugh's two sisters, Blanche Chap-
man of London, and Hazel Corbett
of Hensall.
Colin and Corey Snyder, sons of
Ed and Gail, of Mt. Brydgcs, spent
the weekend with their grandpar-
ents, Ferman and Leota Snyder.

In accordance with the Weed Control Act, Statutes of Ontario,
1990, Chapter W5, Sections 3, 16 and 23, that unless noxious
weeds growing on their lands are destroyed by JUNE 7, 1993
and throughout the Season, the Municipality may enter upon the
said lands and have the weeds destroyed, charging the costs
against the land in taxes, as set out in the Act. Proso Millet and
Velvet Leaf are named as noxious weeds in most municipalities,
and Giant Cow Parsnip (Hogweed) in all County municipalities.
