Centre activities
EXETER - Four teams entered
the playoffs for the right to repre-
sent Exeter carpet bowlers at the
Senior games in Goderich On Tues-
day. June 22.
Lawrence Russell and partner
Wilmer Wein won all three games
in the round robin and took the
gold medal. The other three teams
each won one game and lost two,
so scores came into play. The silver
went to Ray Smith and partner
'Marion Dearing and Myrtle Gusso
And partner Wilma Davis took the
bonze. Thanks to everyone who
'otncd in the fun and many thanks
to the banks and trust companies
for door prizes. Also to Marshall
Dearing for scorekeeping etc. and
June Hodgson for the delicious
cupcakes. Carpet bowling will con-
tinue until the end of May. We
hope to wind up the winter's acti 'i -
ties with a potluck hmcheon on

Cribbage
Doris Hackney and Grate Farqu-
har won the gold modal with six
wins and a differential of 11.
The silver medal was taken by
Wilma Davis and Doris Denham
with six wins and differential of 15.
Ann and Gil Northey won the
bronze with five wins and a diffe-
rential of 23. Thanks to the banks
and trust companies for prizes, to
June and Ray Hodgson for score-
keeping:This ends the cribbage fon
the season. See you all at the pot-

Birthdays at Queensway
HENSALL - Residents who cele-
brated their birthdays during the
month of April were honoured at
the monthly birthday party. Enter-
tainers were The Huron Strings
from Seaforth and area.
Our birthday guests included Mu-
riel Gunning, Gladys Wein, Hazel
Gross, Murray Howe, Ross Thomp-
son, Roberta Fraser and Mabel
Shirray.
The ladies from the Presbyterian
Church in Hensall held an evening
bingo last Monday. A special
:hanks to the ladies who helped at
all the April bingos.
Tuesday's church service was
performed by Shirley Luther. Shir-
ley is a long-time friend at Queens-
way and everyone enjoyed having
her back to share her music,
thoughts and prayers with us.
A reminder to everyone that this
coming Sunday is Mother's Day.
We will be hosting a Mother's Day
Tea from 2-4 p.m We invite every-
one to come and share the after-
noon with all the moms and grand-
mothers at Queensway.

Ministries meet
EXETER - The Women's minis-
tries was held at the home of Miss
Marion-Triebner, April 29 at 2
p.m.
Jean Triebner presided aver the
meeting and led in the hymns
"Love Lifted Me and Love Di-
vine."
It was decided to send a gift of
money to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
Papadopoulos, for theirewedding
anniversary and birthday.
The group is sendingeeeney to
the 'India's' Boy Schad Id& dona-
tions are also being sent to the Mo-
zambique Feeding Program and to
the Christian Blind Mission.
Iden Desjardine gave some mis-
sionary readings on the natives of
Canada, Cantonese services, and
Siberian.
Ma Triebner gave a reading on
the Test of Love also the Ministry
of Love.
Ruth Mel -en gave the message
of the afternoon, on Proverbs 31
and reau poems called "Breakfast",
" A Good Mother" and "Mother's
Hands" she had different women
of the Bible with different ladies
participating and also a Mother's
Prayer.
