LUCAN - The Lucan Optimist
Club are already hard at work on
their fundraising project to support
the "rejuvenation" of their village's
Elm Street Park pavilion. ,
The Optimists are holding a draw
for a grandfather clock from Dublin
Clockworks, worth $2,400. The
clock has been on display at Ma-
sonville Mall in past days and will
be shown also at the Lucan Home
and Garden Show at the end of the
month, and the draw will be made
at the show on May 30.
Tickets are being sold for $2
each, or three for $5, and 5,000
have been printed, explains Opti-
mist Brad Laird. They are availa-
ble wherever the clock is displayed
or from any Optimist member.
Laird credited the fundraising
project to club life -member Art
Bell, who he said just about single-
handedly got the draw project off, "
the ground.
