Karate students advance
High belt grading took place in Holmesville on Sunday and several local karate students ad-

ZURICH - The Zurich Commu-
nity Centre was packed on
Wednesday night as the Zurich Mi-
nor Athletic Association pres.:uted
its annual awards to members of its
10 hockey teams.
Marty DeGroot, a goalie from the
Bantam rep team was named the
winner of the Most Improved Goal -
tender Award which was donated
by former ZMAA and Exeter Jun-
ior 'D' Hawk goalie Marty Merrier.
DeGroot who helped the bantam
Trojans to a 27-16-2 overall record
and was the goalie for the Bantam
2 team as well, was a forward and
defensemen in peewee and atom
before going between the pipes.
