GRANTON - The Anglican parish bible study
group met at Margaret Oakley's home on Thursday af-
ternoon when the -discussion topic was true liberation.
At St.'['homas' Anglican Church on Sunday, March

A time of fellowship followed the service.
At Granton United Church on Sunday, Pastor Nor-
malie Voakes chose '20/20 Vision' as the subject of
her sermon. The choir sang the anthem 'On a Rugged
Hill'.

On March 11, the Granton Maple Taffy Bucket Spiles
met for their third meeting at the borne of leader Dean-
na Bea`tson. They commenced with the club business
and discussed a field trip to the Panshawe Sugar bush.
Then they formed two groups and each made a recipe
using maple syrup and prepared a skit. While the food
was cooking, the skits were performed and proved to be
quite entertaining.
In conclusion, the Maple Apple Pie and Tangy Maple
Meatballs which they had made earlier were sampled.
On March 20, the Granton Maple Taffy Bucket Spites
had their trip to the Fanshawc Sugar bush. Members
-and leaders enjoyed a horse drawn wagon ride into the
bush where they learned how maple syrup evolved, the
earlier methods of producing it and ocher interesting
facts.
Even though unseasonably low temperatures have
caused a slow sap flow this year, an educating time was
had by all. The reporter was Katherine Harding.
