CONCERNINGtA1PROPOSED.ZONINGDYLAW AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the:Corporation of the Village of Grand Bend will hold a public
meeting on Monday, March 29, 1993 at7:30 pm.at :the Grand Bend Municipal Office at 4 Onta-
rio Street, North, to consider a proposed:ZoningBy-law -Amendment under section 34 of the Plan-
ning Act, R.S.O. 1990.
The proposed zoning By-law Amendment would change the zone category on the subject lands in
part of Lot 4, Lake Road East Concession, Village of Grand Bend, owned by 743523 Ontario Lim-
ited. The site is located on the east side of Highway 21, immediately north of the Merrywood
Meadows residential development.
The proposed amendment would change the zone category on the subject lands from the "Rural
Intensive (A.2) Zone" and the "Residential (R.1)2one" to a zone which would permit the 4.1 acre
(1.6 hectare) site to be developed for a multiple family residential development, and to the "Natu-
ral Conservation (NC.1) Zone". The NC.1 zone would apply to a 23 metre (75 foot) vegetated but-
ter which would be maintained along Highway 21.
The proposed amendment would permit the development of the site for a 27 unit condominium
development. The residential portion of the property would be placed in a holding category. The
holding symbol would not be removed until the municipality is satisfied that suitable servicing .is
available for the site.
The key maps show more particularly the affected lands.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either
in support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed amendment is available for in§pection be-
tween the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Grand'Bend Municipal Office or the County of
Lambton, Planning and Development Department in Wyoming during regular office hours.

March Break programs at
Zurich Library this week

ZURICH - The library will be
having a March Break program for
children on March 18 from 12-2
p.m. The program will include east-
er crafts and games. Phone Helene

Mothers Time
The ,next Mother's Time support
group will be March 24 at St. Pc-
ter's Lutheran Church Hall from
9:15.to 11:15 a.m. The topic will
be,- How to Landscape Your Prop-
erty.
Skating Carnival
The Zurich and area figure skat-
ing club are gearing. up, for their an-
nual carnival on March'28 at 2 p.m.
The theme is A Trip Around the
World.
School Concert
Students of St. Boniface School
entertained family and friends with
a concert, The Rainbow Connec-
tion, on March 8 and 9. Congratula-
tions go out to the students and
teachers for a job well done and
spacial thanks to Shelly Hoffman,
on piano; Gloria and 'Simon Day,
for props.
Fair Board
Plans are underway for the July
lair and ideas arc welcomed. 7hc
theme is, Farmers Feed the World.
The Agricultural Society was
- welcomed by president Lloyd Ot-
terbein at their last meeting March
8 and secretary treasurer Margaret
Deichert read the report from the
directors meeting while Carmel
Sweeney reported on the events
held during a three day meeting in
Toronto.

The St. Boniface C.W.L meeting
held ,on March 9, in the parish hall
was chaired by president Audrey
Smith. Ladies were reminded of a
quilting bee to be held in the lower
level of the ,church on' March 22,
As well, there will be a day of re-
flection on March 30.
Seniors Dieing
Tammy Antaya welcomed the
Senior Diner's to their March 10
meeting which included public
speaking from Julia Geiger, Becky
Kirk, Kelly Thiel and Jill Ramer of
Zurich Public School. Rita Thiel
won the 50-50 draw.
Personals
The lce Capadcs performance in
Toronto- on March 13 was high-
lighted by Zurich's own Kathy
Monter -who was skating in the
show.
Her parents Bob and Tootie
Meurer and grandmother Margie
Johnstone attended. Other family
members present included: Donna
Merrier, Luella Tiernan and cousin
Debbie. Flowers were presented to
the elder Johnstone during the per-
formance.
The family along with two bus
loads of area residents enjoyed din-
ner at Swiss Chalet before return-
ing home. Special thanks goes out
to Tammy Antaya, from the Senior
Diner's who made the arrange-
ments.
Ken and Arlene Seyler returned
from a vacation in Puerto Valletta
where activities included para -
sailing. Also vacationing were Isi-
dore and Paula LaPorte, and Tony
and Marie Denomme. The group
spent 12 days at Myrtle Beach;
while Cynthia Tripp was in Barba-
dos. Wallace and Marie Gingerich
along with daughter Dawn travelled
to Florida for a two week visit with
their daughter Bonnie and her hus-
band Darrel McKillop. Since arriv-
ing home, the Ginerich's travelled
to New Hamburg for a weekend
with her .brother Norman and his
wife Wera Helmuth to celebrate
their 50 wedding anniversary.
Sid and Viola Ramer and Lor-
raine Zehr returned from a two
month trip to Florida. The trio were
working with, Habitat for Humani-
ty, a non-profit organization pro-
viding low-income housing.
Doug and Debbie Masse along
with family have moved to their
new. home on Blue Water.
Birthday wishes go out to Gord
Hay on March 22.
A bridal shower was held for Tra-
cy Vardy of Chatham on March 14,
at St. .Boniface parish hall. The
bride-to-be will marry Mark Hart-
man in May. The shower was given
by Irene Hartman and family.

Children learn about Goth's 'grace''

SAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's An-
glican Church _Celebrated the ser-
vice of Morning forayer at 11:00
a.m. the third Sunday in Lent. Rev.
Stephen Emery for his children's
focus spoke about God's 'grace"
which'means God's unending love
and kindness to all of us.
Sunday, March 21, St. Patrick's
will celebrate Morning Prayer ser-
vice at 8:30 a.m. Scripture readings
will be I Samuel 16:1-13, Bphe-
sians 5:8-14, Responsive reading
Psalm 23, The Holy Gospel John
9:1-41.
St. Patricks A.C.W. held their
March meeting at the home of Che-
ryl Carroll on"March 9 with seven
members present. They took part in
the service from the World Day of
Prayer prepared by the women of
Guatemala.

Thanksgiving were geld and
prayers for our sick members, espe-
cially Mabel Needham. The scrip-
ture readings and the hymns "0
Master Let Me Walk with Thee"
and "Take My Life and Let it Be"
were led by Cheryl on the piano.

was thanked for use of her home
and the lunch.
Hazel Davis attended a Sunday
School Resource Day at St.
George's Anglican Church on
March 13 led by Parish Education

GRANTON - The annual oyster
and ham supper held at the Mason-
ic Hall on Saturday night was en-
joyed by well over 300 people.
Former Grantonites Bill and Nor-
ma German of Burlington made it
back again for the supper in spite
of the inclement weather.
Florence McRobert returned
home on March 6th, having been a
patient in St. Marys Memorial hos-
pital for nearly four weeks follow-
ing an accident.
Larry Lewis of London was
home on the weekend and attended
the oyster supper.
The parish bible study group met

with the scripture passage from
Mark and a reading about Lent, fol-
lowed by prayer. During the busi-.
ness, the program for the general
meeting in -April was discussed.
Betty Dann took charge of the
program witgh a Lenten theme,
reading an article from the Observ-
er "Taking a long look at Jesus and
the church He inspired'. She also
read "Christians reflect on their life
in preparation for Holy Week",
closing with a poem "Is God Real".
After prayer .and the grace, lunch
was served by.the ,hostess and a so-
cial time enjoyed.
On March 14, Mary Davis was
dinner guest with grandchildren
Robert and Lisa _Tindall, Aho at-
tending were Alexia and Bob Tin-
dall, and Luke Aheleira.
