The next three Sundays are very crucial for both the girls and the boys teams as they are presently running neck and neck. Bring a -friend and a Bible! On Sunday afternoon the teachers and workers of the Sunday School and their families will be going skating at : the Huron Park Arena. Finding available ice time in our lo- cal arenas has -been _difficult this year, so they have .decided to . pin the children during -public 'skating this Sunday afternoon. :Chip 'n' Dale Scripture Rangers: bad inch a good time last year '1.-titng, that they have been invited :to once again put on their skates and have some fun. Which one wasn't too steady on their feet, Chip or Dale? -This Friday night the WM meet- ing will be featuring interior deco- rating tips by Mary Gardiner and Brenda Triebner. An ladies are in- vited to join us at the church at 6:45 p.m. for an evening of fellowship _and a spiritual blessing. The Youth Group has challenged :the congregation to a game of •broomball on Saturday, March 27 at the Hensall Arena. No problem! AIIsa ;crag LIcW have Trish singalang AILSA CRAIG - Pots of sham- rocks decorated the worship centre and tables in the Sunday School room when the Ailsa Craig United Church Women met for their March meeting. Mary Clark used Women of the bible as the theme for the worship service. She suggested that women were rarely featured in the scrip- ture. The group sang the hymn Tell me the old old story' and then the story of three of the Bible's prob- lem women was told as they might have told it if they'd had a chance to speak. Donna Cox read some verses from Judges Chapter 16 and then spoke for Delilah? lieuy Suther- land told Jezebel's story after she read some verses from I Kings Chapter 21 and Lena Stokes raid from Luke Chapter 8 and then spoke for Mary Magdalene. Everyone was given the symbols of Lent to identify as well as a Bible Quiz. The last contest was some scrambled Irish words. Margaret Tweddle presided:Torr the business meeting. Mary Su- therland asked for volunteers to help with the roast beef dinner on March 18. Lena Stokes reported that the quitters are busy working on a crib quilt and a bigger quilt. Betty Sutherland and Sylvia Thul- wall had a sing -song of Irish songs and then all gathered around the table for a social time. Mary Clark and htr committee served green jello and cake with a cup of tea. The next meeting of the UCW will be held in the auditorium of Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home at 6:30 p.m. on April 13. Geddes chose as his topic "Enter God - When We Are Afraid." The choir rendered an anthem. The Centralia U.C. family night scheduled for Fri- day, March 26 has been cancelled.
