Each stu- dent did their own personal selective art work, some including their pic- ture as a centre for the frill edging, then off to the Resident's room to place it on display. Tuesday evening members of the Auxiliary visited the Home for their monthly meeting. Helen Otterbein was chairperson while the guitar, vi- olin and piano entertainment was provided by Art and Eleanor Horst, and Lloyd Otterbein. Laurene Corriveau provided a reading and helped Marie Denomme serve refreshments to the Residents. A speedy recovery is wished for Elizabeth Gingerich who is visiting St. Joseph's Hospital, London and Edwin Martene who is visiting South Huron Hospital, Exeter. Smillie came to the rescue! The past few months and more, the resi- dents have been subjected to a worn out stereo system that consisted of lavatory groans or sounds of the chipmunks with its setting speed never quite sure of, the revolutions per minute. Clarence Smillie, a resident of B.W.R.H. Apartments kindly donated his personal set to the Home. He felt if he wanted to hear it, he'd come and visit. For those who enjoy music, it was a very welcome gift and it helps to lift spirits during the winter months. Everett Haist is telling everyone he has to live until the 10th of Febru- ary because that day he will celebrate his 100th birthday. Haist like to joke, as he checks the obituaries each day, "1 haven't found my name yet!" And Bye George he better say until the 13th (Valentine's Day) as well, for his daughter Eunice is coming all the way from Dinsmore, Saskatchewan for an Open House in B.W.R.H. auditorium to celebrate the happy occasion. For many, this is the first time they have met ar- son lucky enough to reach a full century and Evereu is just one of those "guys" one can't and won't forget.
