February is designated as Heart and Stroke month. Every year at this time 1 think of the words of au- thor Isaac Asimov. "Zile human heart beats constantly at a rate of 60 to 80 times a minutes, or a trifle faster than one beat per second, through a long life that may last over a century. In a century of fruit- ful labour it will beat some four bil- lion times and pump 600.000 tons of blood. The work done by the heart each minute is equivalent to the lifting of 70 pounds a foot off - the When we think of the work our harts do for us. we Itld sill give 11081110 8$14 when late canvastier ,on luncheon on WWed d. 1 y, "Pebruary 17 to support the Canadian Food Grains Bank.
