Party. Eldon Johnston was the only
resident to celebrate a birthday in
January; therefore, he received spe-
cial treatment from Helen Regie.+

sang duets and accompanied thy*
children's choir made up of 10
beautiful voices. The Catholic
Women's League sang "The Sea-
sons of the Year" accompanied by
Theresa McCann on piano. The
women served sandwiches, relish-
es, cookies and squares and mm-
gled with: the residents after the en-
tertainment. Home Auxiliary
helpers were Mary Ellen Gingerich
and Martha Ducharme.
Father Peter Hayes, St. Boniface
Church, Zurich celebrated Mass on
'Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday afternoon, the residents
gathered in the auditorium to col-
late and stuff envelopes for the
March of Dimes canvass. Jim Par-
kins, Fergus Turnbull, Eileen Con -
site Mae Davidson, Edna Johnston,
Bill Leibold, Margaret Mousseau,
Nelson Howe and Paddy Bedard
managed to complete half the small
task and will continue this week to
finish the 1,000 envelopes.
The rsesidents' activities this week
ncluded sing -a -long, fu . and fit-
, games night, music listening,
Bible reading and reminscing and
yes - good old bingo.

friends in the apartment auditorium
on Saturday, January 16 to cele-
brate her 90th birthday.

.will meet on February 3 beginning
with a pot luck lunch at 12:30 p.m.
(Note change of time). Each per-
son is asked to bring their own cut-
lery and dishes. They extend a spc-
.cial invitation to anyone interested
to come and enjoylheir Valentine
party.

home of -Anna Keys for their Janu-
ary meeting. There were 10 in at-
tendance. along 'with three guests

Lunch was seated to bring an in-
teresting meeting to a close.

:EXETER --The Rotary Club
of Grand Bend has extended its
fundraising campaign in Exet-
er.
The club.ran a Nomads ticket
draw in Exeter by selling .the
scratch and win :tickets at .the
Three AAA Restaurant, giving
away a total of S12.000 in priz-
es.
Ron Rau of the Rotary Club
said that the success of the
fundraising, program has led to
an additional 538,0000 in cash
prizes being added to.the Neva-
da ticket program to be won in
the next tew months.
Rau said .the club has used
the profits from the ticket draw
to support the construction of
the elevator at South -Huron
District High School and to
fund the Victorian Order of
Nurses volunteer palliative care
program.

got together and enjoyed making

their afternoon tea.
Everyone who attended the after-
noon movie on Thursday thorough-
ly enjoyed it. "The Adventures of
Milo and Otis" is a heartwarming
live action film about the adven-

pugnose puppy. The residents wish
to thank Doug Insley for lending
the film.
A very special event has taken
place at Queensway this week. A
resident in the Retirement Home,
Jessie Armstrong, celebrated her
100th birthday on Monday. Family
and friends gathered at Queensway
Nursing Home on Saturday to help
Mrs. Annstrong celebrate this very
special occasion.
