raising mixed volleyball tournament at the Huron Park Rec

very proud of all four bowlers for
their really great team effort. Their
response to coaching was excellent.
We will now prepare to compete in
the Ontario Kids and Golden Agers
Championships March 7 at Etobi-
coke."
Ten -year-old Melissa O'Brien led
Zurich number- two -with a 527
triple, 143 pins over her 128 Y.B.C.
average. Tasha Green, six, added
17 pins over her 85 peewee Y.B.C.
average. Golden Agers Wynne Bur-
gess and Kay Allen contributed 79
over and 47 under respectively. ,
They were coached by Marlene
Bedard.
Ridgetown won the men's team
title with 202 pins over their team
average while Zurich's number two
team took third spot with 57 pins
over and Zurich number one fm-
ished fourth with 57 pins over.
O.F.P.B.A. Youth Challenge
Bluewater Five Pin Bowlers' As-
sociation teams did not fare well in
the match play Ontario Five Pin
Bowlers' Association (O.F.P.B.A.)
Youth Challenge Regional Champi-
onships at .Goderich Little Bowl

men's team third place tie with
Grey -Bruce. Maple Hills (Guelph)
took the O.F.P.B.A. men's team ti-
tle. Grand River (Kitchener -
Waterloo) won the ladies division,
Bluewater was third, and Maple
Hills took the mixed title.
Coaches Gary Huston, Howie
Baker and Marj Moore for Bluewa-
ter agreed that the Bluewater teams
did not appear to have the intensity
of competition needed to be compe-
tive enough to win any of the three
O.F.P.B.A. Youth Challenge titles.
