Defer GRIP
payments on
taxes
OTTAWA - Provinces can ar-
range for farmers to defer 1992
Gross Revenue Insurance Plan
(GRIP) payments to 1993 for tax
purposes, Agriculture Minister Bill
McKnight said Friday.
While GRIP is a joint program
funded by the federal government,
provincial governments and farm-
ers, the program is administered by
the provinces. Some provinces
have already contacted Revenue
Canada and arranged for farmers in
their provinces to defer payments
to 1993.
Crop insurance corporations in
provinces which 'decide to defer
payments will work out the details
with individual fanners.

EXETER - Santa and his elf wel-
comed all to the seniors Christmas
dinner on December 23. Over 90
individuals enjoyed this festive
event.
A musical hymn was sung by
Pat Skinner, Don Stuart, and Doro-
thy Bullock. The meal consisted of
turkey with all the trimmings, and
cheesecake for our dessert. The
meal was prepared by Dawne Erb
and her busy volunteer elves.
Jeanne Gladding welcomed all,
especially the many guests present
for this occasion. Maxine Sereda
presided on keyboard.
Following the meal, Reverend
Mark Gaskin brought the Christ-
mas message which recalled spe-
cial memories of our childhood
and grandparenting. Brent Yearly
and his Mother, Grace were also
present to play a few of our fa-
vourites on keyboard and violin.
Ray and June Hodgson did some
lovely clog routines to finish off
an afternoon of entertainment.
Antaya and Gladding thanked all
who helped in any way with the
dining program in the pas: year.
Special thanks were extended to
Vera Mills, Elaine Skinner, Dawne
Erb, volunteer set-up/drivers, and
to those involved with catering.
The Exeter Public School, Pri-
mary School Choir entertained on
December 15, with over 90 chil-
dren. Santa and Frosty the Snow-
man were also present to give the
children randy canes and special
wishes.
The seniors were blessed to
have, once again, the Dutch Chris-

sure helped to put everyone in the
Christmas spirit.
