Grade 6 I love Christmas every year but my first Christmas was very spe- cial. Even though I can't remember my first Christmas my mom has told me a lot about it. My mom was getting ready for Christmas and decided it was time to go to the hospital so my Grandpa drove my mom. At about 6:15 p.m. on the 22 of December 1981 1 en- tered the world. 1 weighed about 8 - pounds and I had brown eyes. I was also a surprise to my mom because 1 came so early. I was not supposed to be born until January. On Christmas Eve the doctors let me and my mom come home. I had a cribwith pink blankets but I had to share a room with my sister. My dad and my brother were very hap- py but my sister wasn't. Every Christmas has been as good as my first Christmas. Page 31 Haiku Poems By Katie Pickering Our Lady of Mt.
