The grade 3-4 class at McGillivray Central School held a medieval feast on Wednesday after-
noon as the culmination of their studies on the middle ages. Boys dressed up as knights, like
Chris Jaques (right) and Brian Dixon seen here, and girls attended as ladies of the court, like
Denise Mitchell (left), Jessica Jongeneel, and Jessica Cornelissen.
For all its charm
and warmth,
Christmas is a
season to celebrate.
Thanks, friends,
for your very
valued business.

The Night Before
Christmas
By Emily Hoffman -McLeod
Exeter P.S., Grade 2
Teddy was looking for food.
"Who are you?" said Dolly. "I am
Teddy," said Teddy. "Who are
you`'" "I am Dolly," said Dolly.
"So you got thrown out too? My
owner got a dog for Christmas",
said Teddy. "My owner got a doll
that you can style its hair," said
Dolly. It started to rain. "Oh no.
Where will we go?" "I know a
place that we can go," said Teddy.
"Where?" said Dolly. "There is a
barn over there. There is a boy and
girl over there too". "Look over
there," said the boy. "I want a
doll," said the girl. "1 want the
Teddy," said the boy.
Christmas is a Time
By Rayne Milne
Zurich P.S. Grade 8
Christmas is a time
For laughter, joy and peace,
For families to be together
And have a merry feast.
It's a time to show your love for
others
The kindness that you share,
A time to show love towards your
brothers
To show them that you care.
Christmas is a time
For gifts to be presented
Accept them with joy
They are not to be resented.

It's Christmas
It's time for celebration
It's time for laughing and sharing
It's time for presents and big
feasts.
The lights are bright
The star is shining
Reindeer can jump
Santa comes down the chimney
I can hear children caroling
I can taste the Christmas dinner

Christmas time is finally here
Wishing everyone a Happy New
Year
Our Christmas tree is all decorated
But Jesus is the one we celebrated
We go to church called the Mid-
night Mass
Learning about the old time past
We learn what Christmas is all
about
So no one has the reason to doubt
When we come home we go to bed
Waiting for Santa to come as he
said.

Rudolph
By Matthew Martin
Hensall P.S. Grade 2
Rudolph didn't have a shiny nose.
When he didn't he had fun. But one
day he was eating some hay and
there was some magic and his nose
turned red and all of the other rein-
deer laughed at Rudolph. He didn't
like a. He walked away. He showed
Santa. Santa knew magic. He cast a
spell on him. His nose didn't shine
any more. He was happy again.

My First Christmas
By Becky Corbett
Hensel) P.S. Grade 6
I love Christmas every year but
my first Christmas was very spe-
cial. Even though I can't remember
my first Christmas my mom has
told me a lot about it.
My mom was getting ready for
Christmas and decided it was time
to go to the hospital so my Grandpa
drove my mom. At about 6:15 p.m.
on the 22 of December 1981 1 en-
tered the world. 1 weighed about 8 -
pounds and I had brown eyes. I was
also a surprise to my mom because
1 came so early. I was not supposed
to be born until January.
On Christmas Eve the doctors let
me and my mom come home. I had
a cribwith pink blankets but I had
to share a room with my sister. My
dad and my brother were very hap-
py but my sister wasn't. Every
Christmas has been as good as my
first Christmas.

Here comes Santa Claus
With a sleigh full of fun toys
He gives them to kids
My mittens are warm
My yellow boots are warm too,
Winter is so fun.
Christmas
By Sarah McCann
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
Christmas time is coming near,
Time for joy and none for fear,
For the King was born,
On that Christmas eve night.
Everyone rejoiced with the sight,
Because Jesus the son of God was
born.
The ruler of Heavers,
The son,
Our Lord.
