A -Christmas Feast
By Pamela Rkhards
Biddulph Central
On Christams we go to my grand-
ma's. We have a gigantic feast. We
have a delicious turkey and lots of
sweet jello with lots of scnunptious
and spicy dressing. The grown ups
enjoy exquisite wine. Some of the
children get to have cool, lovely
punch. We also have creamy,
mashed potatoes. For dessert, my
grandma brings out delightful, apple
pie and sweet chocolate brownies.
And that's our Christmas feast.

Snow
By Sant Shelstad
Biddulph Central
As you can see this poem is about
snow,
It's good for many uses such a,
scoop and throw.
if you ask me I think it's neat.
Snowmen, forts, snowballs, I even
use it to eat.
I like to play in snow although it's
very cold,
You can make it in different
shapes, without a mold!
Although it does soon melt
I remember how it felt.

Replies to 12 days of gifts
Inspired by the song The Twelve Days of Christmas the grade 5/6
class at St. Boniface School in Zurich wrote letters to the sender of

Dear, Dear Lord Carnor,
Thank you dearly for the three
French hens. They arc a beautiful
colour. They have been quite good
to me and they are not too bad.
All of my birds seem to be getting
along. Mostly the birds eat the pears
off the tree and some seeds. They
are all healthy. I have a room where
I keep the tree planted and bees for
all my birds. They seem to like it_
I love animals especially birds.
Sometime I wish to see you but not
now. I'm busy with the birds and all.
See you someday.

Dear Lord Carnor
1 thank you with all my heart for the
partridge. It sings me to sleep every
might.
And the pear tree is coming in
handy. I slice the pears to put in my
cornflakes.
And 1 think I will put the pear tree
in a pot and put it in my bedroom.
Don't love Lady Katherine
P.S. I love you with all my heart

Dear Lord Carnor
Thank you for the gift but it is get-
ting a little noisy. I put the cows and
maids outside right now, they are so
noisy, cows mooing, birds chirping,
1 can't even get to sleep at night
even though they are outside!
1 would appreciate it if you would
not send any more noisy gifts to me.
Oh no my clothes, the stupid cows
are eating my clothes HELP! My
house is going crazy! I got to go, the
swans are in a fight with the geese
by the way no more birds PLEASE.
Your going deaf friend
Lady Katherine
P.S. No more gifts.

Dear Lord Carnon
I'm pretty busy with the 7 swans 1
received. It seems that all 1 do is
pick up doodle all day but 1 would
rather not have so many birds.
You are a very giving man but read
my lips NO MORE BIRDS!! 1 did
like the diamond nngs (hint) I love
Jewellery.
Those swans a swimming are a -
swimming in my toilet. I'm getting
a pond for all my birds that swim.
In the near future send me a gun.
How are you these days? I bet you
don't have twenty -tree birds around
the house. I have scrambled eggs
every morning from the eggs of the
geese
1 think I'm in love but not with you
unless you win my heart back with
ti maids milking cows, 9 ladies!.
deinking, 10 lords leaping, 11 pip-•
ers piping, 12 drummers drum-
ming. I'll be waiting.
Maybe your love,
Katherine
