Parkview
Month of
busy at
LUCAN - The activities around
Lucan Lions Parkview Place started
off early in December. On the
fourth, we had a discussion on how
to handle stress at Chnstmas with
two fourth year students from the
University of Western Ontario
On the evening of December 13
the Lucan Lions Club had a wine
and cheese party for the residents.
Entertainment was a group of girls
called "Ain't Misbehaven" from
Medway. The girls had a varied
program and we certainly enjoyed
them. The Lions provided a tasty
variety of goodies and coffee which
was greatly appreciated.
On December 14 the seniors had
our annual Christmas dinner ca-
tered to by Mary Dykeman and her
helpers. Mike O'Shea entertained
us afterward with Diane leading the
singing of Christmas carols and
Mike ably accompanying on piano.
Also during the evening a group of
girls led by Mrs. McDonald from
the United Church sang carols. The
evening finished by having an ex-
change of gifts handed from the
tree by "Santa" Roy Zinn.
The Lucan Beavers visited with
carols on the evening of the 12th.
Jackie Marten brought the Junior
choir from the Anglican church on
the afternoon of the 18th which all
enjoyed.
In the new year of '93 Parkview

Two predictors of a long life: 1) being in
control of your work life and 2) doing
work that is fulfilling Orchestra leaders
appear to be a good example of this.
Here's an easy way to put eye drops in children's eyes: Have the
child lie back and close her eyes. Place 1 or 2 drops on the lids
where they meet in the hollow at the nasal side of the eyes. Ask
the child to blink; the drops will run in to her eye as the lids are
opened.
The more medications a person takes, the greater the risk of drug
interactions. Even non-prescription drugs can interact with prescrip-
tion medication. If you have questions about choosing a non-
prescription medication, check with our pharmacist staff.

Belt. King' Herod with his scribes
and the three wisemen also gave
their eyewitness reports. The sheep,
played by our two and three year
olds stayed right along with their
shepherds, and the animals played
by Grade one and two rested peace-
fully around the manger. Angels
played by Grades one to three girls,
sparkled and glittered in the stable.
"Christmas isn't Christmas 'Till It
Happens in Your Heart" was sung
straight from their hears to finish
the cantata.
Wednesday night the streets of
Huron Park were filled with glow-
ing candles, bells ringing, and 46
voices singing the Christmas car-
ols. Thanks to the many, man)
homes who opened their doors or
windows to listen!
Our first Women's Ministry meet-
ing (WM) gathered around hot ap-
ple cider and listened to Christmas
poems, shared prayer requests, and
atter a short business meeting, went
and sang Christmas Carols to Pas-
tor Bob. Pastor Bob had taken a
bad fall and was laid up for a few
days. The ladies sang outside his
window and then went to Norma
Romph who has just returned home
ftiom hospital and sang for her.
Come and spend an hour singing
carols and hear the Christmas story
at the candlelight Christmas eve
service at 7:00 p.m.
