As a result of studies completed by the ARCA or private individuals, two zone floodplain management policies have been es- tablished for the Ausable River in Crediton and the Centralia Drain in Centralia. The two zone policies recognize floodfringe areas of the floodplain where development may be permitted if structures are ade- quately floodproofed.
