"In terms of the people, the rela-
tionships and the caring, I'd love to
stay here the rest of my life," she

But after eight years, Nelson also
agrees that change is something
good for the school, giving stu-
dents a look at new thoughts and
ideas.
And Nelson's move to Barrie is a
step up. She will now be in charge
of supervisory work for a cluster of
13 schools from Barrie to Colling-
wood. She will also be responsible
for all programs in all Simcoe
County schools, making sure pro-
grams are written, implemented
and revised when necessary.
Normally, principal moves are
made at the beginning of a school
year, but the superintendent she is
replacing is retiring at Christmas.
!stetson is looking forward to the
new challenges ahead, and will be
immediately thrown into the fire to
tackle changes coming as a result
of a new school being built in Sim-
coe.
Meanwhile, Precious Blood is set
to welcome its new principal,
Sandy McQuillan. McQuillan had
been principal of St. Joseph's
School, in Kingsbridge for the past
six years.
He began a career in teaching 24
years ago, and actually spent his
first three years at Mt. Carmel. Al-
though living in Stratford, McQuil-
lan operates a mixed farm in Luck -
now, where he returns on
weekends.
"I'm really enthused about com-
ing to this school," said McQuillan.
"It's something I've beers looking at
for quite a while."
