Toomstra - Miller
On Saturday, November 7,
1992 Shelly Jo -Anne Miller
and Sam Michael Toomstra
were united in marriage at
Thames Road United Church
with Rev. Don Robinson offi-
ciating. Maid of honour was
Susan Coates friend of the
bride. Best man was Clar-
ence Toomstra, brother of
the groom. Bridesmaids were
Andrea Becker, friend of the
bride, Myla Dykstra, friend of
the bride, Elsie Willis, sister
of the groom, Darlene Trieb-
ner, friend of the bride. Jun-
ior bridesmaid was Michelle
Willis, niece of the groom.
Ushers were Rob Miller,
brother of the bride, Dave
Timmermanns, friend of the
groom, Gerald Willis, brother-
in-law of the groom, Ken Mill-
er, brother of the bride. Jun-
ior usher was Steven Willis,
nephew of the groom. Ring
bearer was Tyler Miller, neph-
ew of the bride. After a sur-
prise honeymoon in the
Dominican Republic, the hap-
py couple reside in Exeter.

Darlene McBride, daughter of
Gerald and Jeanette McBride
and Ben, son of Tony and
Eleanara DiTommaso were
united in marriage on Sep-
tember 19, 1992 at Exeter
United Church with Rev. John
Hilborn officiating. Maid of
honour was Jodi McBride.
Bridesmaids were Shannon
McBride and Kim Dawe, all
sisters of the bride. Best
man was Jim Heron, friend of
the groom. Ushers .were Dan
Terpstra, friend of the groom
and Mike DiTommaso, broth-
er of the groom. After a won-
derful honeymoon in Hawaii,
the happy couple are now re-
siding in Toronto. Darlene
and Ben would like to thank
everyone for making this a
special day for them.
Centralia Faith Tabernacle
preparing, for cantata
CENTRALIA - Hammers have
been busy this week as a few of our
men have transformed our platform
into a humble stable for the Canta-
ta, "Are You Ready for Christ-
mas?" The children (and adults as
well) looked in awe as they came
into the church on Sunday. It's
amazing what willing hands can
do! Keep December 13 open, you
won't want to miss this evening.
The Pre -Teen Club met on Satur-
day morning at the Swances for a
Scavenger Hunt. All those ages 9-
12 are invited to join in this once a
month activity. Contact the Swanc-
.:s or Crawfords.
The Faith Walkers have been
meeting every Saturday to get
ready for the next Quiz Night at
Youth For Christ on December 5.
The Youth Group will be attending;
contact Jamie Parker 263-5789 for
a ride.
Also on December 5 be on the
lookout for our float in the Exeter
Parade as well as the Stephen
Township Parade on December 6.
Coffee and goodies will be on sale
at the Exeter Parade with all money
going to the Building Fund. Thanks
ladies for all your baking!
On December 8 the ladies will be
having their. Christmas Banquet at
the Centralia Hall. You'll enjoy our
guest speaker and special music, as
well as an evening of "No doing
dishes". Why? Because our willing
men have volunteered to wash and
dry dishes for us! Aren't we
blessed? All ladies . are invited to
come. Please contact Lori Craw-
ford or Cathy Prout so adequate
seating can be arranged.
The Sweitzer Family were our
guests all day on Sunday, as we en-
joyed their ministry through song.

Legion Ladies Auxiliary
show appreciation
EXETER - The Ladies Auxiliary
to the R.E. Pooley Exeter Branch
167 met the fourth Monday of the
month.
President Shirley Pole chaired the
meeting.
Donations of $100 each have
been made to Diabetes association,
Lung Association and the Salvation
Army, 5500 to the Christmas Bu-
reau and $6000 for a onimeter for
the Emergency Room at South Hu-
ron Hospital and two Sunday ses-
sions of free skating at South Hu-
ron Recreation Centre.
The ladies have been busy partic-
ipating in sports including euchre,
darts, cribbage and bowling.
Past President Marilyn Riley was
presented with her past president's
medal and pin and Betty Bower-
man with her past officers' medal
and Sgt. at Arms bar. Barbara
Hearn past sports office was pre-
sented with a gift in appreciation of
her many years as sports officer.
Twenty year pin was presented to
Alva Heywood, 25 -year pin to Mil
dred Chalmers, 35 years to Peg
Hunter Duvar and 40 years to Julie
Higgins and Amanda Hamilton.
Myrtle Gusso was welcomed into
the Ladies Auxiliary.
Ten turkeys and an extra game of
$250 have been planned for the La-
dies Auxiliary bingo the last being
TRIANGLE

Zone Commander Sharon Scru-
ton from Goderich and Deputy
Zone Commander Eva Brown of
Seaforth made their official visit at
the November meeting. Zone Com-
mander. Scruton brought greetings
from Provincial Command and up-
dated any changes that have been
made.
Next meeting will be held Mon-
day, December 14. Short business
meeting after which a Christmas
dinner will be prepared and served
by member of the Legion Branch a
