the Executive Office Adminis-
tration Program at Fanshawe
College on November 13,
1992. Joanne has accepted a
position at City Hall, London.

HENSALL - The Cultural Activi-
ties meeting of the Kippen East
Women's Institute was held at Can-
ada Post, Hensall, when Linda Fer-
guson gave a tour of the facilities
and explained their many duties
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sorting the
large volume of mail, selling
stamps and money orders were just
a few of their duces.
Ferguson was thanked by Phyliss
Parsons and presented with a gift.
The group then gathered at Grace
Eyre's home for the rest of the
meeting. The roll call "Away 10
make our daily life a pleasure' by
reading, picking flowers and hav-
ing ghe right attitude. Phyliss Par-
sons gave a reading "Hol -y Days".
Grace Eyre gave the report of the
District Board meeting in the ab-
sence of Hilda Payne. Grace Drum-
mond gave a reading "The Farmer
Feeds Them All".
The 90th Anniversary for the Dis-
tnct will be held at the Dashwood
Community Centre on January 5,
1993. Dorothy Bell conducted a
contest. Courtesy remarks were
given by Rena Caldwell.

Irene Hoffman demonstrated ap-
plique on different materials as
well as punch work and painting of
sun catchers. Several of the ladies
signed up for a course in applique
on December 7. Anyone interested
phone Tammie at Town and Coun-
try Homemakers.
Next week: Poor Boy luncheon
at noon. In the afternoon a Reuse
and Recycle day. Bring any article
made from a discard and share your
ideas. Should be fun. Of course, the
regular programs will be in full
swing as well.

Exeter Legion
plans trip to
Parkwood
EXETER - Thursday, November
26 is Branch 167's General Meeting
which will begin at 8:00 p.m. Sev-
eral new ordinary and associate
members are to be installed and a
lunch will follow this meeting.
On Saturday, November 28 there
is a bus trip to Parkwood Hospital
to visit the veterans there. If you
would like to go, be at the Branch
on Saturday morning. Sunday, No-
vember 29 there will be free public
skating at the Rec Centre between
2-3:30 p.m. courtesy. of Branch
167. Come on out and enjoy it.
The Exeter Legion is planning to
enter a float in the Santa Claus Pa-
rade December 5. If you would like
to help, please contact Bob Snow at
235-0413.
We are fortunate to be involved
with the Huron County Board of
Education with their co-op educa-
tion program. Tina Riley of South
Huron has been helping the Branch
prepare up-to-date membership
lists and security keys for the new
building access systeni, which goes
into effect January 1. The keys are
available at the Branch when your
dues are paid -and a reminder that
the Early Bird Campaign ends on
November 30.
The meat draws are continuing to
be a popular Saturday afternoon
event and the past winners were:

The Meat Draw Committee are
planning special draws for persons 1
who bring non-perishable, or
canned goods for the Christmas bu-
reau useage. On December 19 there
will be draws made for turkeys in-
stead of the normal meat trays.
