ZURICH - On Tuesday morning,
35 Grade 5 students from St. Boni-
face School came to visit their
Buddy at Blue Water Rest Homc.
They teamed up and read a poem
and interviewed their Buddy and
sang action songs to the residents.
Ruby Hoggarth, B.W.R.H. resident
recited two poems to the students,
poems well remembered from her
childhood.
Glen Regier, one of Huron
County School bus drivers, has vol-
unteered his time to drive the stu-
dents each month to visit with their
Buddy.

Wednesday afternoon tea had a
special flavour, a birthday cake for
Fergus Turnbull who that day
turned the big nine -zero. Turnbull
lives at B.W.R.H. apartments but is
well known to the residents at the

ning prepares the coffee and tea
and sets up and puts away the
chairs for them. Volunteers play a
big role at the Home and many
come from within.
Laureen Cornveau, the retired
secretary of the Homc, read a poem
to Turnbull and helped Gladys

AMNESTY
November 1 to 30, 1992
Think gun safety Maki it count
The new firearms control law gives everyone
the chance to turn in unwanted or illegal guns
and register restricted weapons without fear
of prosecution for possession offences during the
amnesty. The amnesty means you can also
dispose of any prohibited weapons, explosives
or ammunition.
Too often, forgotten or neglected gum, can lead
to a tragedy.
The amnesty is an ideal opportunity to get rid
of weapons you no longer want.
Taking advantage of the amnesty is easy.
Simply unload the gun and turn it over to your
local police. 1f there is the slightest risk or if
you have any questions, call your local police.
Make it happen for the safety of you and
your family.
