Exeter 4-H club learn
about explosive eggs
EXETER The Exeter Il
"Eggs"tra Special Chicks fifth
meeting was held on Monday, No-
vember 2. The "eggs"perienced
cooking with the microwave and
learned the explosive fact about
microwaving a whole egg. Then
they made "Microwave Chicken
Cordon Blue'. Egg white separa-
tion was demonstrated with and
without an egg separator. Most of
the group need more practice!
With the egg whites just separat-
ed, both oven -beaten and stiff but
not dry stages were demonstrated.
The club used these beaten egg
whites for the meringue in their in-
dividual "Baked Alaskas" They
never thought ice cream could be
baked in the oven! Both are elegant
to serve company and yummy too!
Everybody brainstormed ideas
about achievement day and decided
on December 6 and the date. More
plans and "egg"cepuonal recipes to
come.
