Why are you proud
to be
a
Breanne Baker
Biddulph Central School
" I`m proud to be a Canadian be-
cause we have an affordable
health care system, great spores
and the Olympics. I'm proud of
our education system and what it
can do for people. I'm also proud
that we don't have polluted water
and air. I'm proud of the flag and
what it stands for. I'm proud be-
cause of our beautiful landscapes
and that we're not at war. I've al-
ways been Canadian and I'm
proud of that."
Kathleen Lindenfield
Biddulph Central School
"I am proud to be a Canadian be-
cause we have tots of open fields
and good jobs to pmvide for our
families. We have good schools
and good emergency systems. We
have good farmers that won't let
us down. Canada
has no slaves and
never will. When
I hook at the
Canadian
flag, I stare and
stare,
and then go away
with a great big smile."
Kent Hardy
Biddulph Central School
"1 am proud to be Canadian be-
cause we have excellent sports
teams. We can compete against
other countries in anything. We
have a good national anthem and a
good national flag. We are good
peacekeepers and we help people
that are poor and sick. We've had
astronauts that have been up in
space and we invented the Canad-
arm. We are not a polluted coun-
try. I think our country is the best
to live in."
Christine Malhers
Biddulph Central School
I have many different reasons why I'm proud to be a Canadian. One
reason is we are a peaceful country because we haven't had a war
against us in a long time. We have clean water and plenty of healthy
food. Canada is home to many famous celebrities. Another reason is
we have excellent sports teams. (How about those Jays!) There are
also many good school systems. But most of all, I am proud to be Ca-
nadian because we have been together for 125 wonderful years. So
stand tall, 0 Canada! You should be proud to be a Canadian."
De-ann Rollings
Biddulph Central School
"1 am proud to be a Canadian be-
cause we have good sports teams.
I'm proud to be a Canadian be-
cause we have a health card that
pays our hospital needs. I'm proud
because we have peace in Canada
and we aren't killing each other.
I'm proud because we have a lower
crime rate than in the United
States.I'm proud because we have
beautiful land like Prince Edward
Island. I'm proud that some Cana-
dian sports stars, who play in the
United States, still say that they arc
Canadians."
Kurt Juergens
Biddulph Central School
"I love my country (Canada) be-
cause of the good health programs
and excellent education. I think we
have the best sports teams in the
world. Of course you all know the
Toronto Blue Jays won the World
Series. Canada has won the most
gold medals in hockey at the Olym-
pics. Last but not least, we arc
ranked top m the world!"

ZURICH - Friday afternoon the

helpers brought 16 young smiling
faces to sing to the residents. Upon
leaving, one young lady crawled

more handsome grandfather resi-
dents, while another, a cute little
clown passed among the residents
with a farewell hand shake.
