Staff a by Roberta Templeman STAFFA - Thirteen ladies. Staffs Women's Institute members and friends enjoyed a day of crafting at the Township hall last Monday. Everyone contributed to a bountiful pot luck dinner at noon. John and Roberta Templeman were guests at the Huron County Holstein club's annual ladies night, held at the Brussels legion on Friday evening. Cromarty Marian Ritchie W.M.S. Lillian Douglas presided for the Thanksgiving meeting of the Cro- marty Marian Ritchie W.M.S., when they met at the home of Alice Gar- diner on Tuesday evening. Douglas opened with a poem, "Thanksgiving Day" and then every- one enjoyed a video "Greater Than our Numbers" which told about the Christians in Japan. Following the video, 10 members answered the roll call by naming al city in Japan and telling something of interest about it. Jean Carey led the Thanksgiving Worship Service. assisted by Mary Elliott, Betty Lou Norris and Rober- ta Templeman. Edna Stoneman presided for the business, with minutes and corre- spondence read by Jean Carey and treasurers report given by Mary Elli- ott. Edna reported on the Presbytery executive meeting which she had at- tended. Roberta Templergan looked after the Glad Tidings renewals. It was decided to order the study material on Christians in the Middle East for the coming year. Peggy Kerslake's name was added to the nominating committee along with Alice Gardiner and Edna Stoneman. REMINDER The Final Instalment of taxes are due on or before Friday, November 13, 1992 The 4th Annual Haunted House will be held at 82 Brock Street, (the Old Herbie Hedden House) on October 29, 30 from 7 - 9 p.m., $2.00 per person, $5.00 per family. Once again the Village staff has challenged the businesses and community at large to dress up in the 5th Annual Hallowe'en Challenge on Friday October 30th. A Phantom Photographer will make surprise visits in the afternoon to places of businesses on this day to take spook photos. The photo session at the Munici- pal office will be at 2 p.m. sharp. Saturday's parade in Hensall included a wedding party. Shown at left are Melissa Genttner, Kari Reid, Michelle Genttner and Lisa and Julie Forrest.
