Club presents trophies
EXETER - The Exeter Lawn Bowling Club held its annual windup
banquet and awards night Wednesday, September 30. The dinner was
attended by 44.
Awards were given out to several bowlers who have been busy
around the club over the past few years. These "Beaver" pins were
given to Ruth Skinner, Garnet and Olive Hicks, and Ernie and Olga
C'hipchase.
Marshall Dearing was given special recognition for his efforts in
greenskeeping and for introducing carpet bowling to the public held at
the youth centre through the winter months.
Peter McFalls was also given a special recognition certificate for his
years of promoting lawn bowling as club president, district chairman,
Provincial junior chairman and now a director of Ontario Lawn
Bowls.
Club singles trophies were handed out to Andrea Weigand for ladies
singles, Jason McFalls for junior singes, and Peter McFalls for men's
singles.
