How do you
feel about
Manon
Rheaume
playing in the NHL?
Dianne McGregor
Exeter
"I think it is fantastic. It's
about time women got to
that point in hockey"
Rob Funston
Huron Park
"I don't agree with it. Phil
Esposito has admitted that he
is only doing it for the pub-
licity. The other guys on the
team are going to treat her
differently than a male goal-
ie. She does have talent but
it's not up to NHL stan-
dards."
Mary MacDonald
Huron Park
"She was certainly capable
to play goal. In nine shots.
she let in two and then they
put the male goalie in net
and he let in four. So what is
the difference? They both
have the same protection so
she can certainly take the
shots. I think it is way past
time that they allow women
to show their abilities."

"I think it is a good sign for
equality -of women because
women have more or less
taken over the slo-pitch
scene. Let's see if they can
do it in hockey. I think she
has to be on a certain level to
be there and as time goes on,
more women will be on that
"level."
Casey Lessard
Huron Park
"I think if she's talented
enough they -should give her
the opportunity. Ladies' hock-
ey has been really successful
in this arta and if she
deliver the
goaltending
ability, they
should give
her the chance."

In last week's Exeter Times
"Back in Time" column, it was
noted that 25 yeah ago the spa-

Granton was officially opened by
the Minister of Agriculture, the
Honourable William a. Stewart.
Asmany reflect on the many
- happy times held there and °spe-
cially the recent Canada 125 cele-
bration, they also ponder the
changes that have taken place
since 1967, Canada's Centennial
year, when the park was opened. It
is ironic to think that in a few shon
weeks a vote will be taken in this
very park to help decide if Canada
will continue as one of the worlds
leading nations.
The Anglican Bible Study group
met at the rectory in Kirkton last
Wednesday afternoon when the
topic of discussion was loneliness.
On Sunday, there was no service
at Si. Thomas' Anglican•Church as
members attended the Harvest
Thanksgiving service at St. Pet -

Stephen Emery based his message
on "Where your treasure is there
