days. Last week, parents of Usborne Central students got the
chance to meet with teachers after an outdoor barbecue.

their laughter Mary Ann aid -rani-
ly in Cold Lake, Alberta. While
there they waren with Scott, Mary
Ann and Shannon to see the•Rock-
ies, travelled through Jasper Na-
tional Bark, Banff, Calgary and Ed-
monton. They also enjoyed tomo
good filching at Primrose Lake.
Annie Zielman, accompanied by
her daughter and family, Ruth and
Jerry Zehr, -Mandy, -An neka and
Samuel, also Jerry's mother, Lor+een
Zehr, all of Zurich, spent Labour
Day weekend at the Mennonite
church camp at Chesley Lake.

Ken Baker and Marg Lawson at-
tended the International Plowing
Match at Lindsay last week from
Thursday to Saturday. They also
visited with Les and Beatrice
Locke, 111 Ttt►nUni. Ken reported it
was very wet at the plowing match
and some atheduled events had to
be postponed or cancelled.

Optimists' youth dance to be held in Ziirich

ZURICH - The Zurich Optimists
are holding a youth dance at the
community centre Friday. Septem-
ber 25 from 740 p.m. Music for
the 11 -15 -year-olds will be provid-
ed by Hook's Party Sound and their
will be parental supervision,

night at the arena Tuesday night. If
anyone missed signing up they can

the theme of the Morning Break Ladies Coffee Hour at Emmanuel Bap-
tist Church. Exeter, on Saturday morning.
Mary Robinson of London fust demonstrated many simple vet highly

deft knots, or folds, and pieces of fabric were transformed into decora-
tive accessories around the neck or the waist. or even emergency ho►-

Noting that sometimes we don't like what we see in the mirror, or still
hurt from childhood taunts about some aspect of our appearance, Mary
reminded her audience that each of us is unique. Like one -of -a -kind
scarves, each of us has been created by God, the master designer We
are not to take the values placed on us by others. but remember that
God has no outward ideal: He wants to develop us from the inside
