That comment comes as the pro- vincial government and OPPA head towards arbitration after offi- cers overwhelmingly voted against a tentative agreement. The OPPA is the bargaining unit for the 4,542 uniformed officers that make up the Provincial Police Force in Ontario. By a margin of nearly three to one, the members rejected a government offer of one percent increase for 1992, and three percent for 1993.
