rick's Church celebrated a Holy
Communion service at 8:30 a.m.
Rev. Stephen Emery, back from his
vacation overseas,.spoke on the
economy and political unrest all
over the world and that we will have
to find our security as tomorrow is
in the Lord's hands.
August 23, St. Patrick's will cele-
brate Holy Eucharist at 11 a.ni. The
service will mark the eleventh Sun-
day after Pentecost. Readings am to
be Jeremiah 28:1-9, Hebrewsd 12:
18-29, Responsive reading Psalm
84. the Holy Gospel St. Luke 13:
22-30.

Si Patrick's was decorated on Fn -
day evening for a bridal shower
honouring Don Cunningham and
Candi Dobinson. Margaret Carroll
welcomed the guests, Hazel Davis
gave a humomus reading. After
opening many beautiful gifts the
couple expressed their thanks and a
social time followed.

Lamont reunion
Centralia College concluded the last of their series of summer camps on Friday. Called "Fur
with Food and Computers" 23 students aged 11-14 experimented with Mexican, Italian, ane
Chinese food for a week, and also enhanced their computer skills while enjoying some crafts
and other activities- •Invited to share in the student's newfound nutritional skill, parents at-
tended a luncheon Friday to sample the food prepared by their children.

Residents enjoy annual trip
HENSALL The undisputed
highlight foe residents this week
was tete annual trip to Bill Gibson's
.home. Wednesday afternoon.
Twenty-one residents and 11 volun-
teers and tamily members took pert
in the lovely afternoon. Various
residents strolled around the perk
hke grounds or just relaxed beneath
a shade tree. Everyone ,enjoyed the
delicious huweutadc carrot cake,
icecroarn, tea and coffee served on
Gibson's good china, and afterward
