In fact, he was in the Friedsburg. Days parade. Some were saying Elvis bore a striking resemblance to Bill Schade, but the adoring fans on board the float were convinced the King had :come to town. With every parade, there must be spectators. Saturday morning's Friedsburg Days parade had no shortage of appre- ciative spectators as hundreds of people lined the route through Dashwood. Here, the Dashwood-Seaforth Band get cheered on their way. The winners of the 4-8 month baby show at Dashwood's Friedsburg Days were third place Matthew Philip of London (left), held by his mother Mamie, second place Brennan Willert of London, held by her mother Tammy, and first place Megan Hutchison of Mississauga, held by her mother Vickie. All contestants have relatives in the area. Huron MPP Paul Klopp and former MPP Jack Riddell put aside their party affiliations and team up for their try at the crosscut saw competition at Dashwood's Friedsburg Days Saturday' afternoon. Believe it or not, the pair worked very well togiether. Poster and colouring contest winners for the Friedsburg Days competition received their priz- es Saturday afternoon.
