Graduate awards for St. Patrick's
LUCAN - Last Wednesday, St.
Patrick's School in Lucan held their
graduation ceremony. Twenty four
students graduated from -grade
eight.
Guest speaker was Bruce Murray
while Julianne MacGregor acted as
valedictorian.
Natalie Dick and Christopher
Cox received best progress awards.
Cassandra Martin and Adam Dus
kocy received high academic.
awards.
The C.P.T.A. Personal Achieve
ment Awards went to Laurie Rog-
ers and Marty McLaughlin. Julie
Chittenden received the Nancy
Ryan Memorial for ladyship and
Chris Mcllhargey received the Mi-
chael VanderLoo sward for gentle-
manship.
The Maslen Family Awards for
all round male and female students
went to James O'Shea and Wendy
Jansen.

'92 graduation awards
LUCAN - Biddulph Central
School held graduation oerario-
nies at the Loran Community
Centre last week, and many stu-
dents were honoured with
awards that evening.
Andrea French won both the
- Academic -Proficiency award
and the Mowbray Award.
Wesley Rollangs received the
Morley Award, and the Bid-
dulph Bronco award went to
Joshua Applernan. Jason Mawd-
sley received the I Love to Read
Award. An environmental
award from the Ausable Bay-
field Conservation Authority
was presented to Tama Lojzer,
who also won the principal's
award.
The citizenship award was
presented to Shari Bell.
Kurt Mills won the English
award, Lyndsey Hardy the Sci-
ence Award, Andrea French the
Mathematics Award, Jason
Mawdsley the History Award,
Stephanie Scarborough the Ge-
ography award, and the Health
and Physical Education award
went to Teresa Lojzer and Den-
ver England.
Karen Maybury won the Art
Award, Lisa Hardy the Music
Award, Garianne Hotson the
French award, and Marty Mitch-
ell the Most Unproved Student
Award.
Jody Duncan was the recipient
of the Special Education Award.
School pins were presented to
all graduates on behalf of the
Biddulph-Lucan Home and
School Association.
The valedictory address for
the evening was made by Kun
Mills.

EXETER - The Women's Minis-
tries "from the Exeter Pentecostal
Tabernacle assembled in the home
of Shirley Prouty, Thursday.
Jean T'riebner presided over the
meedng, and led in the chorus "Let
the Beauty of Jesus". idena Desjar-
dine accompanied on the organ.
Ruth McLaren prayed for the ser-
vice.
The Roll Call was taken and an-
swered by a scripture verse on
"Beauty". There were seven
present. it was decided in business
to send money ,to a Thailand Or-
ph,rtage and alio. to the needy chil-
dren. it was decided to send money
to the adopted missionary's daugh-
ter Kelly Koster from the Nether-
lands.
Doris Peebles gave a missionary
reading concerning Martha Leo-
nard who was with the sub -Arctic
Mission in Hay River and also Ken-
ya-
