travels to
Stratford
KIPPEN - Helen MacLean was in
charge of the June Education Meet-
ing. Eight ladies were taken on a
mystery tour to Shakespeare and
Stratford by car on Thursday.
Upon arrival in Shakespeare, they
visited the Presbyterian Church
where they had a festival of quilts
on display.
Then, as president Grace Drum-
mond is well known for her fond-
ness of banana splits, the gip
stopped on our way to Stratford for
our non calorie? desserts and pic-
nicked beside the Avon River.
Needless to say the swans didn't get
any ice cream.
The meeting was then conducted
around the picnic table with a view
of the Theatre in lite background.
The weather was just perfect.
Roll call was answered by men-
tioning a new idea, and the ladies
were all in favour that the day's out-
ing was a good idea, and needed to
be repeated.
The District Women's Institute
picnic is to be held in Crediton on
July 8 at 12:30 p.m. Kippen East
are to take aloxngitems for first
course.

wished everyone a good summer.
(ince Eyre closed with courtesy re-
marks.

September 15 when the Huron
County Dairy Princess will be the
guest speaker. Remember "If you
are let on making it good some-
where, why not make it good, right
when you are?"
