MITCHELL - The Crediton la-
dies fastball team travelled to
Mitchell on Monday night and
came away with their fourth win in
a row.
Carol Windsor, Creditor's piton
er tabulated the win with a 4-0
shutout after hurling eight strike-
outs.
After .loading .._the . baaes_in __the
second inning, with singles by
Brenda Wilds, Heather Taylor and
Deb Lord, the two local teams re-
mained a no score deadlock until
the fourth inning when Lord
reached first base on a single and
Jane Bowley sent her home on a
long double.
In the fifth inning, the local
squad added three more runs to
their score when Kelly Prouse,
Sherry Nickles and Teresa Van
Raay reached base on singles,
Theresa McGee pounded out a
double and Kathy Gielen added a
single hit.
The Crediton team then held
Mitchell for the next two innings
allowing only one opponent to
reach first base.
Strong defensive plays and some
smart base tagging was the answer
to Crediton's win.

EXETER - It was sweet revenge
Tuesday night as the Huron Motor
Product Greys bounced the de-
fending South Perth Ladies Fast -
ball League champion St. Pauls by
a score of 7-2.
After surrendering a run in the
top of the second inning, the Greys
came back to tie things up in their
half when Patti Down doubled to
bring in Dianne Willis.
The Greys then exploded in the
third sending ten batters to the
plate and scoring five runs. A su-
perb pitching effort by .Down kept
the bases clear through four and

hockey Stanley cup draw. Daryl is holding a cheque for
$1, 732 which he received as his share of a 50-50 draw. Sev-
en others had also correctly predicted Pittsburg would win the
cup in four games but Daryl's name was the last one remain-
ing in an elimination draw held at the Rec Centre Monday
night.
