Pre-
sided for the May meeting of the
Marian Ritchie W.M.S. held at the
Presbyterian Church in Cromarty
on Tuesday evening.
Edna Stoneman presided for the
business with Betty Lou Norris
ger d* the minutes and correspon-
den e. The women accepted an in-
vitation to join the Hensall Presby-
terian Ladies at their June 1
meeting.
Stoneman told the assembly
about being matched with Britton
Auxiliary of the Listowel Presby-
terian Church for two years. The
Cromarty women decided to extend
an invitation for the Britton ladies
to join them at their June 16 meet-
ing.
Alice Gardiner beaded .the wor-
ship service taking her scripture
reading from Matthew, telling
about the fig tree. Her meditation
was on "Exelrcising our Talents"
followed by prayer.
Thirteen members answered the
roll call on talents. Lillian Douglas
had the Study Book on Japan, tell-
ing about the "Outsiders", the peo-
ple who live in Japan, but aren't ful-
ly Japanese. She discussed the
treatment of these people.
Peggy Kerslake was in charge of
the "talent" sale which followed,
with assistance from Jean Carey
and Mary Elliott. There was an
abundance •of garden plants, bak-
ing, sewing and books which real-
ized over 5100.00 for the Marian
Ritchie W.M.S.
