show played out in French with Canadiana trivia at last
Wednesday's French Drama Festival at Biddulph Central
School. Five schools, including these from Biddulph, per-
formed in the French Immersion experience which lasted most
of the clay.

just east of Varna in the former

Varna UCW
President Carol Simons opened
the Varna U.C.W. meeting with the
U.C.W. purpose and a very appro-
priate poem on spring. Thank yous
were read from Marion Coleman,
Julie Mount and Teresa Rowntree.
There will be a shower for Shirley
Keys (daughter of John and Mary
Keys) June 8 in the Varna Church.
A shower for Loralie Robinson will
be held on June 2 at the Goshen
Church A bale is to be packed the
first week in June so any articles of
clothing can be dropped off in the
church. The U.C.W. will be .doing
the Church Service on May 24 in
absence of Rev. Phillips at London
Conference.
Shelly Van Aaken was guest
speaker and gave a very interesting
talk -on her job as a pharmacist. The
Phsanacist is always there to con-
sulewith andto help you with any
medication. problem _you may have.

nunity.Breakfast held at the school
on Saturday. The Brucefield Fire-
men and grade 8's assisted with the
breakfast Antique cars were dis-
played as well as pioneer displays
in the school. Some local entertain-
ment was enjoyed. Norma Prescza-
tor's Carry On Clogger groups were
there showing their talent The Ste-
phenson family, Michael, Cara and
Leanne played the spoptts. Both
Junior and senior school choirs
were enjoyed with other entertain-
ment This was very well set up and
organized by all the people in
charge.
Many local grandparents also en-
joyed Grandparent Day on Tues-
day, May 5 with a very good turn-
out of very interested grandparents.

Big Brothers and Sisters received $4,016.60 from a recent
Bowlathon at the Lucan Lanes. Dwight Monk (left) presents
an award of appreciation to lanes owners Don and Audrey
Watt. Bob Moore (right) and Bill Mathers were two of the top
