Sheep shearing with hand shears was a technique familiar to
pioneers, and Rick Etherington demonstrates how it was done
to Usborne Central School students last Wednesday.

SHIPKA - Cindy Gwynne, and
her daughters Micah Anne and
Stephanie Marie. of Chiliwack B.C.
returned home April 27, after visit-
ing for a month and spending East-
er with Cindy's parents, Willis and
Ella Desjardine and Michelle Ma-
bel. This was the first time Stepha-
nie had seen her Desjardine grand-
parents.
During this holiday both little
granddaughters had birthdays with
Micah turning five and Stephanie
two.
On Sunday Willis and Ella hosted
a birthday and farewell party for
their visitors. Many relatives and
friends attended.
Cliff and Verna Russell have re-
turned to their home in Dashwood,
after a three-month vacation in
Florida.
Recent visitors with Hugh and
Annie Morenz were Hugh's sisters,
I azel Corbett, Hensall, Blanche
• Chapman, London, and Ross and
Donna Corbett, Hensall area.
Visiting a few days last week

was a nursing friend of Dorothy's.

a bygone era. What was hard work In the 29th century seemed like fun for the students.
