Stephen council asks
county's help with Grand
Bend boundary report
CREDITON - Stephen Township
council is asking the county to help
get around the the provincial gov-
emment's reluctance to finalize
boundary negotiations between the
township and Grand Bend.
A boundary negotiations commit-
tee report has' been held up at the
provincial level, even though it has
been approved by the townships
that will he losing land to the ex-
panding likeside village: 240 acres
from Stephen Township and 150
acres from Bosanquet Township.
According to Stephen Township
administrator Larry Brown, the
Ministry of Municipal Affairs
agrees to all the land transfers pro-
posed in the , boundary committee
report, but is refusing to go along
with the recommendation that
Grand Bend extend its water and
sewage lines to service subdivi-
sions in those townships. _ _
"He [minister Dave Cooke] says
he can't sanction it, provincially,"
explained Brown, adding that it is
provincial policy not to recognize
such agreements ohintra-municipal
servicing.
An alternative, said Brown, is to
delete the servicing agreement from
the boundary report and simply

Township council, at their April
21 meeting passed a motion re-
questing the support of Huron
County Council to adopt the parts
of the annexation report that the
province won't ratify.
However, as Brown pointed out,
one key player in the boundary ne-
gotiations, the council Of Grand
Bend. has yet to officially adopt the
boundary report.

A well prepared resume will help you
get the job you are looking for!
A resume detailing an applicant's work history and
education is extremely helpful to an employer who
is seeking a person for a specific job vacancy.
Your personal resume should accompany
your letter of application.
Here are some guidelines to follow in preparing your resume:
U Make it clear, concise and easy to read - and no longer
than two pages
(.1 The resume should be typed on 8 1/2" x 11" white paper
with enough white space to prevent a cluttered look
❑ Start with your name, address and phone number
U Next under a sub -heading "Work History" detail the
previous jobs you've held - in reverse date order
- that is, last job first.
U Use a separate paragraph for each position and
precede it with the datesyou held that position.
O '8tatethe job title, a brief description of the
responsibilities - and the results you achieved.
❑ The next section of your resume should come under the
sub -heading of "Education". Start with the highest
degree obtained or grade completed, followed by the
name of the institution at which you studied. Follow
this with previous education attainments. At the end,
list any specific instructional courses you have
attended in conjunction with your work.

and/or offices held in professional or industry
associations.

activities which you fed will be of interest to the
employer - such as volunteer work, etc.
