Msasall's Ryan Groot fared well at the recent Huron -Perth Science Fair held in Stratford. After
placing first in his grade four division at St. Boniface in Zurich for his project on, plant growth,
Gmot went on to place second at the finals.

Scripture Rangers had the honour
of piesenttng ow Bible Contest
'Plaque to the girls who brought 214
Bibles the past six weeks. The boys

United Church Women meet in Granton

GRANTON - Unit three of the
U.C.W. met on Tuesday evening at
Elizabeth (iarrctt's home. As presi-
dent, Elizabeth opened the meeting
with a reading Easter is Coming.
Marguerite Garrett react an article

who's out, closing with an Easter
poem and prayer. Helen Burnett
showed a video on poverty called a
Fine Line involving three wcrncn
survivors who each told their story.
Plans were made for making
more chickctt pies and for "xi at
the mud run.
M the St. Thcxnas' Anglican
church on Sunday. the Rev. Ste-
phen Emery Ind .the Liturgy of the
Palms and celebrated the Holy Eu-
charist. 1 -he sermon message was
about the unconditional love of Je-
sus Christ through His Crucifixion.
Roy Moore was the reader and
Sylvia Bcatson assisted as server.
At the Granton United Church son
Sunday. pastor Ntrmalic Voakcs
led the Palm Sunday and Confirma-
tion service and entitled her sermon
"PUim-of No Return".
Being confirmed were .Susan

Pam Hayes. Lisa Humphrey, Paula
Pincombc and Kelly Waters.
Special music was provided in an
anthem by the choir "Fmm Olivet

On Thursday, the 40H Gracious
Granton Gals and parents met at the
home of Paula 'Wallis for their
Achievement night. The 4-H presi-
dent Melanie Bcatson -opened the
meeting with the4-H pledge.
The senior members then present -
cd their project concerning the
course. after which the Junior lead-
er Angela Mcllhargey told about a
4-11 talk she had given to her sister
Charlotte's class at St. Patrick's
school. Each member then gave a
poem or story about etiquette
