Po- lice say, they pursued his vehicle from Huron Park into Hay town- ship. The vehicle failed to stop at several intersections and reached speeds of up to 200 km per hour. The OPP also report on Friday a semi -trailer driven by Lawrence Feeney, RR 1, Dublin, struck and killed a deer on Hwy. 84, near Conc. Rd. 8-9, Hay township. Friday a pickup truck driven by Betty Brown, Newbury, received - damage to the windshield and grille, when gravel became dis- lodged from a passing truck on hig away 21, Hay township. Area motorists are reminded to watch for and beware of children on bicycles as the better weather approaches. Grade 12 automotive student Brian McLeod (left), had the opportunity to meet with Min- ister of Skills Development Richard Allen recently, when he attended the School Work- place Apprenticeship Program conference in Toronto. The program allows a student to at- tend high school and train as a registered,apprentice in a skilled trade at the same time. As with all apprentices, employers pay wages for on-the-job training, based on normal ap- prenticeship wage rates. The two-day conference included workshops, plenary sessions, panel discussions -and presentations of successful program models.
