EXETER - The Exeter Molting
Hawks won one game, lost once;
and tied once in Oldtimers hockey
action last week.
On Monday they lost to the Lon-
don Relics 8-4. Murray Little, Bob
Jones, Ken Bergmann and Ernie
Ahrens each scored a goal for ExEC,
er. Scott Burton had three mists
with assists to Mike Desjardine,
Randy GMllan and Ron Moore.
On Tuesday they edged the Lon-
don Leafs 10-7. Little and Jones
each had a pair of goals with sin-
gles off the blades of Gilfillan, Bob
McDonald, Ahrens, Desjardine and
Bergmann. Jack Chipchase, Brian
Hodgins and 'Bergmann each had
two assists. Also helping out on the
goals were OIlfillan, Little, Eric
Finkbeiner, Desjardine, Ahrens,
Moore, McDonald and Burton.
On Thursday, the Molting Hawks
battled to an 8-8 draw with Sarnia.
Moore had a big game with three
goals and a pair of assists while
McDonald, Gtlftllan, Bob Parsons,
Burton and Desjardine also con-
nected.
Ahrens had three assists while

Public School were winners at the
ohsn 9Ntllip puling bonspiel

Thursday.
The bonspiel was held following
several weeks of elementary school
curling which included McCurdy,
Exeter, Hensall, Usbome and Pre-
cious Blood schools.
"This is the second year we've
had instructional curling," said
Lorne Rideout of Hensall Public
School.
He hopes to see more schools
participating next winter.
"Strategy wise, they've cone
added
along preuy well,"Rideout.

knockout against Gni Sheller of
Waterloo on the weekend. The
heavyweight won the amateur bout
in the second round.
Bob Gnay of Elginfield beat Lar-
ry Aransabia of Bramalea in a 90 -
kg bout.
Third straight
- 'IRATHROY - For the third
consecutive season the Exeter Gais-
er-Kneale Lincolns have won the
Lambton-Middlesex Bantam Hock-
ey championship.
Saturday in Strathroy, the Lin-
colns were matched against their
big rivals, the Exeter Eagles where
they won 2-0.
Lincolns' goalie Kenn Hines re-
corded his second shutout against
the Eagles and his seventh of the
season.
Providing the offence in the final
game were Willy Partridge and
Mike Barton. Assisting on the
goals were Geoff Hann, Jason
Kramer and Dan Taylor.
The Lincolns opened the tourna-
ment with a 3-0 win over Belmont
and a 2-1 victory against St. Marys
Ashton Tire.

Barry of Huron Park had outstand-
ing seasons with the St. Marys Jun-
ior'B' Lincolns.
DuBarry had 14 points in the
post -season and Heywood had a

back the north division to a 4-1 win
over the south in a bantam all-star
game played in Parkhill on Sunday.
