lathon was a big success Sunday
afternoon at Town and Country
lanes.
Area supporting celebrities bowl-
ing in the first shift included Grand
Bend Legion President Ron
Crown, Zurich Reeve and Huron
County Warden Bob Fisher, Hay
Township deputy reeve Murray
Keys, Grand Bend mayor Tom
Lawson, former agriculture minis-
ter Jack Riddell and Stephen
Township deputy reeve Bill We-
ber. Sponsored Zurich Association
executives and league bowlers par-
ticipated also.
In the second shift, four area
branches of the Bank of Montreal,
supported by customers pledges,
joined in keen competition to have
then branch team raise the most
money in support of Kids Help
Phone.
The Grand Bend Golden Agers
Club bowlers turned in a strong ef-
fort Monday morning at the lanes,
supported by about 5700 in pledges
from Grand Bend merchants and
individuals.
The Kids Help Phone Bowlathon
was organized by Zurich Associa-
tion executives and is endorsed by
the Canadian 5 Pin Bowlers' Asso-
ciation, the Ontario 5 Pin Associa-
tion, Master Bowlers Association
of Canada, Bowling Proprietors of
Canada and the Canadian Chil-
drens Foundation.

tion next zone meeting is sched-
uled for Friday, April 3 at Mount
Forest lanes. Plans will be complet-
ed for travelling and accommoda-
tion for the Bluewater Blue Light
Open teams at Hamilton.
