Making the save during Sunday afternoon's OMHA peewee 'DD' finals was Lucan goalie Den-
ver England. He didn't allow Deseronto forward Brian Brant to score this time but Brant did
score in a 3-1 win for his team.

LUCAN - It was certainly a de-
fensive weekend in Lucan as the lo-
cal ,peewees hosted Deseieeto in
the Ontario Minor Hockey Associa-
tion 'DD' championships.
Saturday night, Lucan goalie
Denver England had an outstanding
game as he did not allow a goal in a
4-0 shutout win. Sunday afternoon,
it was Brian Coffey's turn to shine
in the Deseronto net as he led his
team tern -M w+in.
The six -point series is now red at
two points each with the next game
scheduled for 7 p.m. in Deseronto
followed on Sunday by a 3 p.m.
game.

On Sunday was no scoring
in the first period but, with 6:51 left
in the second, England made a save
while on his knees before Melissa
Hussey managed to score.
With only eight seconds left in
the second period, Jesse Wansbo-
rough made a nice rush down the
boards and got it to Hussey who
got her second of the game.
Early in the third period, the Visi-
tors built a 3-0 lead when Brian
Brant backhanded one into the net.
Lucan had a four minute power-
play but could not score. However,
Hardy took a pass from Appleman
to get the hosts on the board.
