Stephen Mailman's shtagc adaption of Susan Hill's spmee- chilling novel stars Dan •Leu, Mi- chael Polley and 'Katie de Pena, un- • der the direction of Derek Goldby. PhiUip Silver is the production's de- signer with lighting design assis- tance by Heather Sherman. Arthur Kipps (Michael Polley), a middle-aged solicitor, rents a thea- tre and hires the services of a pro - t essiettaf now /Dart 1AH) 40 +1wip 'him te•atact -- and thereby stor- e* - a ghostly hereat which betel ihiin many years belt= with barri- fyagly tragic results. As •Kipps reads his story about the mysterious woman in black (Katie de Pena), he is coached by the actor. The two men then exchange roles to stage the sequence of events which cul- minates in a truly chilling twist in the play's final moments. If you enjoy ghost stories, you'll 'love. The Woman in Black -- but 'don't see it alone! The performance schedule for The Woman in Black is as follows: Previews: March 17, 18 and 19 at New fire truck for Grand Bend GRAND BEND - Although the budget has not been set in Grand Bend, ratepayers are going to have to brace themselves. The village will attempt to save at least 525,000 for a new fire truck and local garbage is going to have to be shipped to Watford in Sep- tember. Clerk -Administrator Paul Turn- bull informed - -council -that the county has to determine the assets and liabilities of the site. "It's pretty clear the county hasn't determined how they are going to approach it," said Ivey. "This thing is moving on a pretty slow clip." What is certain however, is that the ratepayers of Grand Bend will have to pay a lot more for garbage removal. Turnbull added that there are four other municipalities in Lambton County which have had their sites taken over. Determining the criteria has cost those municipalities. "1 feel we have an obligation to share in those costs. At this point the expenses aren't hefty. We have paid 54()0," said Turnbull. As far as the new fire truck goes, it is estimated that in 1993, Ste- phen, Bosanquet Township and Grand Bend will have to split the cost of the new pumper which will be at least S150,000. lvcy said the village would like to put about half of their estimated 550,000 contribution into reserve in this year's budget. 1 Heywood and Lobb Auction Calendar Bob Heywood 235-0874 Burt Lobb 482-9377 Sat.
