Crediton couple tours southern states
CREDITON - Karl and Doris A.
Ohmayer retuned home Thursday
night of last week from a 19 day
bus tour to Florida and visited
many places of interest along the
way.
These included Cincinatti, Atlan-
ta, Ocala, Cyprus Gardens, St. Pe-
tersburg, Naples, Key West, Orlan-
do, Melbourne, St. Augustine, and
Spartanburg.
Many of the highlights of the trip
were visits to the Ocala Horse
.Farm, Silver Springs, Cypress Gar-
dens, Busch Gardens, Everglades
air boat ride, Sea Shell shop, Conch
tour train rides, Disney World, Ep-
cot Centre, Cape Kennedy and St.
Augustine.
One of the many wonderful sur-
prises on the trip was a surprise
birthday party for Doris on Febru-
ary 27.
They saw alligators on the air
boat ride of the Everglades and the
visit to the Daytona Beach flea
market was really something to sec.
The boat ride on the Atlantic Ocean
to see the sunset at Key West was
enjoyed by everyone.

and the different colour of fishes
Shipka euchre postponed

SHIPKA - Due to a wintery blast
of weather last Wednesday, the
scheduled euchre party for March
11, was cancelled at Shipka Com-
munity Centre
There will be another euchre here
on March 25.

visiting Donna's father Ken Baker,
and other family members this

St. Paddy's
Day at
Parkview
LUCAN - The residents of the
Lucan Lion's Parkview Place cele-
brated St. Paddy's Day on Monday
March 9 with a full house for bin-
go. A new bingo machine was an
added pius. Many prizes were won
and the evening ended with tasty
lunch and the monthly birthday
cake. Birthday people were Armitt
Kernick, Ruby Morley, Evelyn
O'Neil and Helma Kuanc. The con-
vener was Pat Shync with Flora
Kenrick, Lily Dobbs and Margaret
Caidlcr.
We arc sorry to report the passing
of two residents Doreen Crudgc
passed away on February 24 and
will be sadly missed by all of us.
As well, Mrs. Boyes passed away
on Sunday. Shc was in her 91st
year and was granny to all of us.
Our sympathy goes out to their
families.
Leota Snyder, spent a few days in
London last week, with her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Esther and Rick
Storey and their sons Scott and Ste-
ven.
Hugh and Annie Morenz attend-
ed a birthday party, Monday March
9. for his lister .Hazel Corbett, of
Hensall. Others attending were Les
and Marjorie Adams, Exeter, Ross
and Donna Corbett, Hensall area,

In the social time we enjoyed vis-
iting reminiscing and playing
games of euchre.
