Silver's goal sends atoms to quarter -finals
LUCAN - Rob Silver scored with 52 seconds re-
maining in regulation time as the Lucan atoms beat
Parkhill 3-2 on Friday to clinch their Ontario Mirror
Hockey Association Atom 'DD' series.
Ben Dobbie had two goals while Scott Thompson
had a big game with three assists while Eric Yeo also
set up a goal.
.Lucan advances to the quarter -finals where they
lite on Port Stanley onTflwrsday at 7 p.m. in Lucan.
The series switches to Pi Stanley at 3:45 p.m. on
Saturday.
On Thursday, Silver had two goals and an assist as
Lucan beat Parkhill 5-1. Scott Thompson had two
goals with the other from Bryan Lame. Yeo had two
assists while Dobbie and Kent Hardy also assisted.
Other Lucan teams: Three other Lucan minor
-hockey -teams havo-advanced-to the quarter finals as
the bantams meet Pt. Stanley beginning Friday in Lu -
can at 7:45 p.m. The peewees meet Dorchester on
Thursday in Dorchester at 7 p.m. and the midgets
host Bothwell at 7 p.m, on Saturday.
Exeter midgets: A shorthanded goal by Derek
Campbell meant a victory and -advancement for the
RSD Generals.
Wednesday night they edged Forest 4-3 as Fred
Steciuk, Ryan Stuart and Mark Lynn also scored.
Two of those goals coming on the powerplay. Jason

Exeter begins their OMHA 'CC' quarter -final series
on Wednesday when they host Lambeth at 9 p.nt.
Zurich midgets: Jumping into a 4-0 lead, the Zu-
rich Thunder won their opening WOAA T' game
against Lions Head.
In front of a loud audience Monday night in Zu-
rich, the Thunder won 6-4 with game two going
Wednesday in Liens Head. The series returns to Zu-
rich on Sunday at p.m.

five series, Hensel) lost 9-3 to Blyth. Jeff Campbell
had two goals and Jimmy Seaton got the other. Paul
Cooper, Ryan Munn and Jason Corbett got the as-
sists.
On Febntary 10. Hensall eliminated Hayfield with a
3-2 win. Campbell led the way with a goat and an as-
sist with Munn scoring and Chris Rowcliffe assisting.

goal while Dave Farquhar set up two with assists
from Bill Kline, Gilfillan, Rob Lynn and Eric Clay.

EXETER -tOn Thursday, South Huron District High School held a girls
league tournament when the Panthers played host to Wingharn and Gode-
rich.
Wingham had no m$Iget team so the Panthers played against Goderich
and were finished for the day.
The visitors proved to be;too tough for South Huron who lost all three
but did play well.
The seniors Warted the day strong crushing Wingksen in three straight -
games. However, they didn't continue their winning ways, losing to Gode-
rich.
In junior salon, the Panthers kept up their winning streak with wins of
15-3, 15-7 and .1Sr4 over. Wingham. Before the exams, South Huron won
the Medway Twwtaldent.
-. Aping Goderich, the locals took two -of -three winning 15-12, 11-15
and 16-14.
