CEN'IRALIA - At the United
Church on Sunday Exia Harreu led
in Act of Praise. A pot luck kuich
was served following the service
before the Annual meeting. All of-
ficers were returned for another
year with additional three new Ste-
wards,
tewards, Rob Tindall Jr., Brent Mills
and Jennifer Hodgson. Next Sun-
day Pastor Gary Carruthers will
lead in worship as Rev. Udall will
share in Holy Communion service
at the Dashwood -Zurich charge.
Upcoming on February 23 there
will be a celebration of Holy Com-
munion at Centralia, following the
worship all are invited to a poor

day school. Flowers in the church
were from the funeral of the- late
Mrs. Tasko.
The Centralia U.C.W. held their
meeting at the church on Thursday,
Copresident-Becky-Hatrnitt-was-in
chargg. A skit was by
the programme committee Lois
Wilson. Phyllis Tomes and Ellen
Brown. Lunch was served by Mari-
an Abbott, Iva Blair and Gladys
Buswell.
At the euchre at Centralia Com-
munity centre on February 3 prize
winners were Jean Hem, Frank
Hicks,, Janet Hicks, Howard Dolan,
Kay Armstrong, Murray Carter.
Next euchre February 17 at 8 p.m.
Villagers were awakened very
early on Monday when many fire
trucks went through town. Fire
broke out at Pryde Monuments.
The smoke was so dense all the
nearby houses were filled with
smoke. There was extensive dam-
age to the building housing monu-
ments etc.
